I am sweaty and tired but boy does she glow
i spent the day washing, prewax polish and then waxing Jackie today. The 1st of this level of cleaning she has gotten by me since her paint had serious issues in some locations. But, now that the problem areas have been repainted I dived into getting her glowing. I waited until it cooled down after dinner for the wax job so the pics don't show her in all her glory as the sun is about to go down but you can still see how beautiful her Carnival Red exterior looks! Off to jump in the shower and wash all the sweat I worked up off....lol

All Pinnacle products. Pinnacle Bodywork shampoo, Pinnacle paintwork cleansing lotion and Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax. The wax in particular was a joy to work with. Just wipe on and buff off. It's their top of the line wax and pricey but my baby is worth it .

Nice!
I daily drive the XJR so mine has a few door dings, some clear coat cloudiness on the hood, and just isn't as nice as yours! I'm probably just going to give the car to my dad when I buy something else; it's currently mechanically perfect since the full suspension rebuild in front. I like the car a lot but I know he'd be happy .
Need to make it through the layoffs first though! I might have time spit polish like you did!!!

I always thought the same thing but spoke to the body shop guy who did the repainting and he said wait for any kind of sealant application but a carnuaba waxing was ok to do .

That looks really nice, well done. I wanted a red XJ before I found my blue one, I love that colour.
When I wash my cars I use Auto Glym Body Shampoo, a lambswool wash mit and two buckets with grit guards. I finish with Auto Glym Aqua Wax. The Aqua wax is good because you spray it on whilst the car is wet, then wipe it with a microfibre cloth. So you wax and dry the car at the same time, which saves time to some degree.

By now, your car is an other example of how our semi-classics should look like, clean, glossy, with a tat of window-tint but showing the contrasting interior, shiny chrome, and a nice set of wheels.
Absolutely stunning, you must be a very proud owner, now go to Stu's thread and say so .

Jennifer, Awesome job! That car just screams "CLASS!". I am in NW GA, and still plagued by all the yellow pollen, so my cars only stay clean for about 10 minutes, max. How does Evan, GA dodge the pollen? Again, a truly beautiful car that reflects all the hard work and affection that you have put in to it.
