Aston Martin hits it out of the park.

The underpinnings of the car are quite impressive. I still think the original Vantage S is the best looking Aston of recent memory. I just don't like the front end on this new variant.

Where you been buddy, never see around anymore.
Just buying time until you can unload the Jag. I know you have had some issues with it and not too happy.

I'm always checking the forums. Yeah I'm looking forward to the next car. Test drove a 911 turbo recently, holy **** is it fast. Sat in the new Aston 720s, that thing is the bomb. This thing has my curiosity, hot Vee twin turbo, supposedly 3300 lbs and sexy looks with awesome sound.

That is absolutely beautiful and would be a great car to upgrade to.

As I posted in the Tesla thread, it looks to me like a F-Type and a Nissan 370z mated but ya gotta love the sound and the twin turbo's will give it more pop. I am more a DB guy myself as the DBS would be my "trophy" car.

I love my R quite a lot. The Vantage however has me scheming as to how I might switch. This is the first car at a price point I could afford that has me seriously thinking of jettisoning the F Type.

Its nice, but c'mon, it an updated F-Type with re-bent sheet metal, every measurement is within a centimeter or two of the F-Type...

It is similar but AM did a great job on a few key areas. I know when Jag developed the F type they intentionally set out to develop the rear without a duck tail. But I love duck tail spoilers and the gills on the side of the new Vantage are amazing looking as well. It also carries an Aston Martin badge too which is pretty nifty.

They key key decision point for me is what the exhaust sounds like...and how much will they cost in a practical sense. They say $150k standard but by the time I’ve optioned it the way I want, it’s might be >$200k.

Yep. Not great. Simple is better. F-type wins. Screw it I'll say it - F-type wins all around it my book. I love the car though.

This is one ugly AM. They could have done better.

I like it. This may sound contradictory to my comments about the butt ugly nose on the Lexus LS500 but I like the "Vulcan" inspired nose on this Vantage. It all subjective but I like what AM has done here. Interior is a tad too Mercedes for me with the touch pad but if it has british soul still I'll overlook that. Can't wait to test one when my son does his review.

i thought about this being a replacement for f-type v8 as well - it's pretty much the same basic formula

the side profile looks great, but the front end of this new design direction hasn't grown on me yet

the previous gen cars were about as good as the aston's have ever looked imo, the dbs being mount rushmore worthy

i couldn't buy such a nostalgic unique brand of car with a merc v8

but once they inevitably fit the new tt v12, i could overlook the weird styling and fk with one

Those headlights are terrible and I'm not sure how I feel about the upper line in the side vent, but otherwise that car is gorgeous. I'd definitely consider upgrading.
