Default 2018 Jaguar Wild Blueberry Blast

I was NOT going to post anything just yet - mostly due to the fact that I am still awaiting word on precise date(s) - but since I received a PM yesterday from a [new] Forum member...I will briefly tell you this:

- I’ve changed the name of the event from “Bash” to “Blast”; what I was originally going to name it.

- LOGO and T-shirt design are complete; and I believe I have secured sponsorship for the shirts as I have the previous two years and events.

- I’ve put together a rough itinerary - which has been sent to those attendees from the last two events - which looks pretty good in my estimation. I only have to determine and finalize a few restaurants, and that will be done over the next several months.

- [re] the itinerary; I’m not going to post it simply because 1) it’s still a work-in-progress and 2) there’s at least one potential surprise which I’m not about to divulge at the present time (and if it comes to fruition I might never post it and swear attendees to secrecy). You’ll just have to trust me.

- Wild Blueberry season in Maine is late July through mid September and my guess, and that’s all it is at this point, is either Thursday Aug 16, 17, 18, 19 or Aug 23, 24, 25, 26. It could be either and it could be neither. When I know you will.

- Like I’ve said, I wasn’t going to post - or make a new post since there’s an older one out there titled: 2018 Jaguar Wild Blueberry Bash - and was going to make this one just for a listing of those attending. I’ll leave that detail to...well...you (I just didn’t want to clutter this post up too much).

Best regards,
Jay

P.S. The 2018 Jaguar Wild Blueberry Blast is most likely contingent on at least 10 F-Types in attendance and, like last year, the event is only open to F-Types.

I’ll take that as a “yes”, in spite of the horror show putting those two in the same car would cause. I’m pleased to see Marko (and his better half) are attending - not that that was ever in doubt - without the proviso that he not be directly behind Zee.

I know it’s early but we might want to start a list such as:

1) DuhCar + 1
2) Unhingd (solo or +1)
3) MBourne +1

Etc....

Here’s one little hint I’ll give you this fine Friday morning:
A return visit to Red’s Eat’s is in the works.

Best regards,
Jay

Jay -

Janet and I will definitely attend. We will most likely be driving up from Northern Virginia and look forward to convoying up with the Jersey group - or, any other for that matter - if they don't mind.

Like many of us throughout our school years, we’ll make sure to separate you two. And Joe, it wouldn’t be the same without you (and your better half); and I recall your saying the weekend of Aug 16, 17, 18, 19 you have a wedding? Hopefully, we’ll be able to work around that.

P.S. to FType17: dates have yet to be determined.

August 22-28 is the week of my birthday ad Anniversary so that's out. Aug 17 to the 19th is the F-Type Mid Atlantic Rally. Originally my only bad dates wee the 22-28 but then I realized that the Rally is already on the calendar

Default Dates!

I finally heard back from one of the “components” to the 2018 Jaguar Wild Blueberry Blast today - and it’s a Duesy if you ask me...and even if you didn’t - and here are the dates:

August 2, 3, 4, 5, 2018

I will assume we have at least 10 F-Types in attendance and at the risk of being [intentionally] nebulous, I won’t go into the particular details of who, what, and where. Let’s just say I have at least a couple of surprises in store for those in attendance. In other words: special s%^$.

We’re talking about 5 months away and summer in Maine. What that means to you is making your plans accordingly. While the Press Hotel is a splendid hotel to stay, there are plenty of other options available to you. Especially when you consider, like the last two events I’ve had the pleasure of hosting, you’re not gonna get much sleep while here. I will reach out to them tomorrow and request a special group rate; although you can be sure it’s still gonna be pricey.

What that means to me is beginning to reach out to the various places and people I’ve already discussed this event with and honing it down. It’s not rocket science - I’ll leave that to DJS - but there are lots of moving parts to this and coordinating it all is gonna take me a bit of time. Besides, given the immense popularity of Maine, and in the Summer, it’s gonna take a little cajoling to get us all in. Leave that to me.

I can take questions - either here or via PM (preferably here) - and/or any of the participants, who’ve attended either or both of the last events, can chime in at will and save me the trouble.

5 months and counting....

Both of us are in, and another guy, Steve and guest are in. Awesome, and the dates work out perfectly.
