Looks like a Rapide and F-Type were photo shopped.

Sure doesn't look like anything that would come from Ian Callum.

It's just an artist's WAG, not the actual car, just like these artists' renditions of the next XJ.

Why build a 4-door XK when there already is a SWB XJ? Because the XJ isn't available as a convertible. The XJ is a 4-door sports car when properly optioned with the supercharged 5.0L engine (470 to 575 HP) and other goodies. How do I know? See my signature.

A 4-door XK would be competing with the XJ unless that XK was priced substantially higher and had a unique design and advanced technologies. Just my

XJ should never really be a sports car no matter how much power and braking you add. That is reserved to the XE if there is one in line up. XJ is about luxury and panache. Similar with Qporte and S Class sedans. None of them will ever or should be a sports either.

XJ is long overdue a make over IMO. The current styling is showing its age and the XJ was the first to show off the current era of DNA which it can do again for the next round.

So, when will all premium JLR products come with flush door handles? Seems to be a trend.

That article has been out for over a year, but it was just updated with a bit of new information. Even has the same F-Type clone picture as it did a year ago.
Nothing new, really.

Something that bothers me about our XK's is they used X150, which means when looking for parts I often end up looking at parts for a completely different X150.

I'll just say I'm not a big fan of model name/number re-use. Even if something is an attempt to "throwback", give it its own name and number please.

There is only one X150, the internal designation for 2007-14. The earlier car was an XK150. Unless you mean using X150 for the whole model run, not sure if there are sub designations like X151...

Best!

True, but sometimes things get parsed in a way one comes up as the other.

I would rather have it be a number off, unique.

I suppose part of the problem is low production, the market for Mustang and Corvette parts are very good at bringing up your specific type even though it is the same name on different cars.

The C-X75 gets my vote to be the next XK. I realize that it's an old design, but it's still fabulous and deserves to be built so I can spend my childrens' inheritance and get to the end of the road with a HUGE smile on my face!

Jay Leno nailed it!

The CX-75 should have been made.

They'd sell a ton of them if they kept it under $125K

Yeah but the good thing is that in 3 years you could be able to pick one up for $75K.

i really hate when articles get posted with an artists "idea of what the car might look like".......people misunderstand it and think its a real deal, or close to the real deal. meanwhile its nothing close

That is a mistake on a huge opportunity if they do that. Keep it with little options, three interiors, and standard color range. Who the F would want something else if they can have a Jaguar that looks like that for the price of a 911 or the like? Keep it less expensive than the new Vantage and it'll be the default sports car for anyone wanting something made in the UK (beyond a Lotus). McLaren will be running to the drawing board to figure out their next move.
