OK guys everything is officially on the go again regarding our event.:-)

I am very happy to be able to tell you that some of our 2018 event sponsors have already re signed with us, and those that have not yet done so, I am steadily working my way around, with hopefully further good news to follow :-)

I have kicked off the Twitter feed advertising for our 2019 event this week (just one month after our last event), and am trying to implement the planned additions to our event, making it (as always) bigger and more feature packed than last year.

As always not everything that appears on the drawing board at the start, makes it to the event but these are the additional features I am working on:

Jaguar clubs onsite to meet attendees
A Jaguar quiz on the day for a great prize (yet to be defined)
More trade stands onsite
Additional talks through the day teaching you not just about your Jaguar and care of it, but also showing you the trade at work

These are in addition to our 2018 events features, which we will be retaining.

This is what I am up to currently.

Meanwhile, could anyone, who is a member of a Jaguar club or group that may be interested in attending our event as a Club Event Attendee (with a free Club plot on the day) please get in touch with me - I would love to make contact with you and see what we can arrange.. onsite plots are free to both the trade, and Jaguar clubs, offering a great opportunity for attendees to meet you, and for them to see what you can do for them - plus we have a great day out for you! :-) So go on why not get in touch and make our event even more of a win-win event for everyone :-)

OK Guys, not only is our list of signed up event sponsors, and attendees, steadily growing, but in view of what people have known our event as for a while I have rebadged the event slightly and we have a new header (attached) and I am finally working on the 'elephant in the house' - the event logo. So many companies ask for our event logo and for seven events we haven't had one to supply - so I am on the case currently.

If anyone knows of a reason we shouldn't use our new name please, please let me know asap before I have finalised our logo - and equally if anyone fels that they would like to have a go at our header please let me know and I can supply you with the header image without text.

Everyone who has beared with our event as it has developed - a huge thankyou to you - our event is still rustic and very much grassroots, but I promise that it will have a least a little more polish to it for you, for 2019 onwards :-)

With my children on their school holidays, and the usual family holiday coming up very shortly (thankfully a road trip in the S-Type again this year but hoping I don't get too many 'Are we there, yets' :-) ) event planning has taken a little bit of a backseat, however I have used this time to kick off a campaign to get more sponsors on board, and now that our event is badged as a JaguarForumsUK event we are more open than ever to Jaguar clubs attending and meeting everyone.

I am looking for Jaguar orientated companies to join our current event sponsors. We can offer advertising through the year via Twitter, Instagram, & Facebook, distribution of promotional materials in our free Welcome Packs for attendees, and more, in exchange for a prize for our prize draw on the day, sponsorship of an award, and a free trade plot on the day. If you are interested in getting involved with our free Jaguar event please get in touch.

If you run a club or non profit organisation for Jaguar owners, and would like a club plot on the day of our next free Jaguar event, along with any advertising materials you can supply distributed free in our Welcome Packs, please get in touch as it would be great to be able to introduce our attendees to you :-)

As always, you can drop an email to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk, tweet our event at @JFBrightonMeets, instagram to JaguarForumsUK, or pop a post on our event Facebook page www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK

So go on, why not get involved with our great free Jaguar event? We have incredible Jaguars, fantastic company, and so so much more for you....

OK we have some good news - as of a few minutes ago, Denbies have officially confirmed that we are booked for 2019 with them :-)

This is great news, and one big concern off my hit list of things I need to get sorted for us.

This guarantees our ability to more than double our attendee base, increase the number of trade stands we can host, and add club stands to the event, so attendees can meet even more of the organisations, and communities that support Jaguar owners and their cars.

Currently with ten months to go, we have the following confirmed info for our 2019 Jaguar event:
(Noting I am ONLY listing confirmed info, not everything that in progress)

Our venue is confirmed as Denbies,
We have 11 Jaguars and 22 people signed up in advance
We have two class awards on offer
9 official event sponsors

Our event Facebook page has 252 friends
Our event Twitter feed has 548 followers
Our new Instagram account already has 99 followers
and our 2019 forum threads have received almost 2000 hits already

All this will grow as we approach our next event, and don't forget in the meanwhile we will also be running the free Christmas competition again, giving you the chance to win a prize for your Jaguar :-)

So go on, why not sign your Jaguar up for a great Jaguar day out? :-)

I know it is the summer, children are on a break from school, and next week I will join most parents with the frequent calls of 'Are we there yet?' and 'How much longer to go?' from the back of the Jaguar on the family driving holiday.. but now is the perfect time take your mind off all this and guarantee yourself a great free Jaguar day out next year

Yes, I know it feels like next summer is a lifetime away but we have our biggest one day Jaguar event to-date coming our way.

Free Welcome Packs inc event info, samples and more,
Convoy element through gorgeous countryside,
An incredible main venue at Denbies Wine Estate,
Class awards,
Prizes,
Talks/Demos by specialists,
More attendees than last year,
More trade stands than last year,

New this year... club stands enabling you to meet not just the companies, but also the communities that support you and your Jaguar.
And best of all? It is still completely free to sign up for and attend

So why not pencil our event into your diary, and sign up for our free Jaguar event?

If you run a Jaguar club, or non profit organisation supporting Jaguar owners please get in touch - we offer free plots onsite, and would love to give our attendees a chance to meet you.

If you run a Jaguar orientated business, and are looking for advertising through the year, and a free trade plot on the day please get in touch as we have a great deal for your company.

OK guys, our web hosting has been approved, and we are finally live with a website for our event!

It will carry all the static information regarding our event, ie all the news and info that so easily becomes just history on forum threads and Facebook feeds.

It is very, very much a work in progress and being hosted on a free server will be a bit limited, and as you all well know I am somewhat artistically (and mathermatically :-)) challenged :-)

The site is up, and has some basic info and links but please, please bear with me as I get this up and running, checking in on it, as I get a chance to work on it. This is a project I am running alongside everything else so it will take me a while to get everything in place with it.

As you know, our event has quite a limited budget .. (OK, OK no budget) so this is being hosted on a free server, and I am using my own domain to point to it - so to access our new event website just go to JaguarForumsUK | Home and you will be there. If anyone out there has some spare time and is happy to do some work on our website please, please just get in touch :-)

Hi Guys - I have done about as much as I can before my week of 'are we there yet?' as I take in the sights and sounds of Kent.

The website is fundamentally up and running with as much of the event history as I have managed to locate so far, plus the start of the general event info for everyone - feel free to take a look at it, have a dig, and email me with any thoughts, ideas, or missing bits :-) that you would like included in it.

In your ideas please bear in mind that the website's function is to support the forum threads and NOT to replace them - if there is something you have had to dig around for to find out, regarding the event please just let me know, and we can get it onto the website for anyone else to be able to find. I am sure I am missing one of the events in the links page that I can't currently find, but this is the issue with history on forum threads that I am trying to tackle with the website.

So.. we now have our forum threads, which are the heart of our event, twitter and instagram feeds to advertise our event, a facebook page which follows the forum threads and feeds regarding our event, and now a website to fill in all the background, and answer general questions people may have about our event.. I would love to say my work is done but it isn't :-(

After my week off I need to finish getting the website as complete as I can (incorporating any and all suggestions you guys have), then move back onto event promotion and another round of checking in with sponsors, and potential sponsors to see what we can manage - so please keep an eye on this space and in the meanwhile email me any thoughts or ideas to incorporate into our new event website.

My email (which I suspect you all know by now :-) ) is JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk, and the event website is accessible from JaguarForumsUK | Home
