Default F Type on 'roids

I like it, but to me it just looks like someone redesigned the f type after drinking a litre of rum and watching 3 hours of ****.

You're saying that like it's a bad thing; although, to be honest, no one watches three hours of ****.

I'd be willing to bet Donald Trump watches 3 hours of Fox News every damn day... that's like **** on 'roids

I was left alone for a weekend, and I can assure you that watching 3 hours of **** is not only achievable to someone who has been married for over 20 years, but it has been exceeded.

I also like it, but I am still lukewarm on the new Vantage (don't care for the Miata front end). Both bear more then a passing resemblance to the F-Type. Ian Callum's design philosophies still resonate at Aston Martin, which can only be a good thing.

While the F-Type's A-pillar has a clear lower boundary, I don't see a well-defined demarcation on the C-pillar. I'm not sure where your wrap would end.

Yeah I think you'd run it in the same line as the upward strake of the bottom of the window, until it got to the hatch and then horizontally from there across the hatch. It would be easy enough to do for someone with skills (I have dabbled in wrap but wouldnt try this myself as it would take a better hand than mine to get that back edge right), especially for those of us with a black roof anyway. Might be worth it for a laugh as I reckon it would be a $250 job, though the f type is so pretty I dont like to play with it too much.

Dan on yours I wonder what white would look like though it wouldnt really go with anything else. I wanted to wrap my daughter's MiTo roof in white as it was copping a bit of a hiding from the sun, but she didnt like white and anyway I've been told wrap doesnt fare well on cars left out in the weather.

Wrap lasts between 2-3 years tops when outside 24/7.. Problem is getting weathered wrap off again. Lots of shreds..

A respray for a roof if it can be easily bordered from other panels is around € 250- € 300 in plain paint.

I had my car treated with a ceramic coating. But this already shows swirll marks after two times handwash by the
same company. I think they did not cure it well. Guy said 12 hours ambient would be OK against special lights
other use..

@ Bruce.

Its not an F-Type, but its a good impression of the effect you have in mind I think.. .. C-pillars would be an issue with the F-Type..

As much as I love Aston Martins....that is one hideous design. What were they thinking?

On a red car with a black roof, I think it has the potential to look outstanding.
