High performance suspension and the worst wheel/tire set-up for performance possible, I will never understand the appeal.

Varying opinions I guess. Never cared much for the disproportionately large wheels and rubber band tires. Not to mention the owner probably had to go with 245s up front because of availability of 22"s. Neutering the f-type is such a shame to see, what a waste.

I find it funny that after fitting the new rubber the first thing the driver does is destroy 1/32" of tread depth by doing a burnout! lol

Thank you Stohlen I do not own it, just saw it and just posted for people's views, after reading about members considering lowering and larger wheels, It's tough work on this forum sometimes, anyway here's another one

You could get the same effect by gluing some trash can lids to the wheels. (Not on my MOD list)

I preferred the first car before they lowered it - I dislike in particular how the guard goes over the rear wheel after lowering. There is a lot of visual difference that 1 inch makes between wheels, personally I think 21's are the epitome of style and class but 22's are a bit gauche. It just so happens...

Have to agree 21's is enough, think this image with 21's it just right, though tyres would be impossible to keep safe

I fail to understand why people with no taste think they can do better than professional designers .....

There are a lot of mods that I find reduce the beauty of an original design, and 22" rims on an F-Type can land in that category...
However, I feel there are a lot of people who feel "stock" is the only way to go and think it is sacrilege to make any changes to a car. I am certainly NOT one of those people, and am compelled to modding everything I own. I realize modding typically devalues a car, but the car can be more fun while you own it.
I like the first car, although it is lowered further than I would dare. The white one is a bit gaudy IMHO.
Modding a car takes a LOT of research and consideration. It is difficult to improve on what was done by professionals... but the factory makes compromises on costs, all-weather drive-ability, and not rocking the boat. Careful changes can improve on that.

BTW- those PUR wheels are gorgeous. I really wanted to get those 21" rims and called them a few times... but I only got them down from $8k/set to $6600.. still too pricey.

In the process of lowering my R now, and 21" VS Forged wheels are on order. We'll see how things turn out.

We gotta remember, everyone has their own idea of the "Ideal". That is why all cars do not just come in the color Black, or as my dear old Dad would say,
"Everybody has their own little sack of rocks. As long as they don't throw them at me, we will get along just fine."
Works with politics, religion, sex, and cars also.
