Default HELP , 07 XK , convertible top
Anyone here have experience and schematic for the top ? desperate . have screen saying top not latched . also looking for break down of the solenoids . also any "work arounds ."
any help greatly appreciated .I have several unproductive hours in this so far .

Also, check the luggage separator in the trunk.

You may need to do a manual reset on the top. The procedure is in the owners manual. Follow the instructions carefully. One person can do it but an extra set of hands is helpful.

I had a similar issue with my 07 XK... put it on the battery maintainer overnight, and the problem was resolved the next day :-)

Is no one impressed the OP drives a vert in Alaska?!
Last time I was up there the weather was great though!

Did the manual” reset”
top went up!
Still problem. Quarter windows never came up and when tried to put top back down it stoped just a few inches up.
I have wrenched on many machines however this top is more complicated than the Space Shuttle.

Did you read Post #4 by WhiteXKR (Steve, the top guru) in the link in my Post #5, above? He explains how to get the windows to work.

..... and while you're doing ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^, buy one of Steve's Remote Top Controllers. It's the best thing to get for your 'vert.

+1 On getting in touch with Steve for your problem and buying and installing his remote top controller. Have had one on two different XK verts since he came out with the controller. A great investment particularly with the rear windows add-on.

Sooo . Here is where I am at .
can manually put the top down.
when I hit the toggle to put the top up it goes up normally and latches
except the rear windows will not come up!,
when I push the toggle to put the top down starts normally, top starts up, than stops open about 6”
help?
if easy alone would do it .”

It sounds like your front windows may need to be reset. Lower both front windows and keep holding the buttons for 5 seconds after they reach the bottom. Then raise both front windows and keep holding the button for 5 seconds after they reach the top. Do this 2 or 3 times then try the top again.
