This is actually in Massachusetts (drove across the country). The tree guys insisted that I keep it under 30 for the drive. Wasn't easy, but I made it happen...

Knew I had a picture somewhere...
Its not 8-foot, but big enough.
My wife wanted a particular type of plant, so we drove to a nursery in Michigan to get one, but they didn't have any small ones.
It was too big in the back seat to put up the top, and a 30 MPH drive for 200 miles to get home, was not an option.
So we did a switch-er-roo, and put the plant in the front seat, and my wife in the back. She said the first 20 minutes were 'ok', but the final 2.5 hours were pretty uncomfortable (but she wanted the plant, so didn't complain 'too' much).
Did the 400+ miles on a single tank of gas, although I think I was running on vapors by the time we got home.
