Default Replacement for Full Load Breather Hose: OEM or DIY

I was installing a new Air Filter today and looked at this hose too hard and it broke on me. I can order a new one and spend $50 and have it fixed next week. OR I can get a foot of hose and some hose clamps for a fraction of that and have it fixed today. If I decide to order the part I'll put some Flex Tape or something on it in the meantime.

What do the Best and Brightest think?

A few layers of 'heat-shrink' tubing should get you up and running again.

Clean the oil off, wrap with silver (metal) tape, cover it with heat shrink tubing. Good as new!

I wrapped it in a few layers of silicone tape. Hopefully that does the job!
