Default Battery price shock

Still recovering from sticker shock vis a vis oem battery replacement for 2007 VDP. I am somewhat reluctant to spend in excess of $500 for a battery. Any suggestions for an aftermarket that matches OEM physical and electrical specs? Thanks for any and all. Richardvdp (Dick Otten)
Owning a Jaguar is like being married to a prostitute. You know she will let you down at every opportunity, take all your money, and leave you standing by the roadside waiting for AAA; but you don't care. You love her.

Any battery with dimensions mm 353x175x~190H with a capacity of around 90-100AH, for example Yuasa 5000, Varta H3, Exide EA1000 or their slightly cheaper versions. Right plus.

Bosh Varta Yusa 140 to 200 should be possible anywhere . They are not 110 anymore but 500 is a scam

Ditto to what Motorcarman said re Walmart, and they will deliver it for free at least in the DC area. The one they sell online has a bit more CCA than the one in stores. Once installed, you can take the old one back for the core credit.

On the delivery issue, they have twice delivered batteries to me at home, in both instances the day after the order was placed and in one of those it was within 12 hours of the order being placed, i.e. I made a late-night purchase of a 12v battery for my Prius and it was dropped off at 10 a.m. With service like that, I won't waste time and money buying elsewhere.

Another vote for the Walmart H8 battery. Using it in my 2014 XJR for several years now.
NEVER buy a battery at the dealer! Never.

That's our Motorcarman. Knows his stuff and to the point! They used to say "Ask the man who owns one" in advertising for Packards, but for Jaguars it should be, "Ask the man who repairs them." You only need to ask the one question and, as he says, "get on with your life."
