Default Xjs tire recommendations

Hello,
I have reviewed many of the older posts for tire recommendations but thought I would check again since many of the tires are no longer available.
My XJS is a 1985 coupe with 20 year old Pirelli tires size 215/70vr15. I only drive the car sparingly in good weather. I am mostly concerned with ride quality and an appearance as close to OEM as possible without getting crazy price wise. Any advice or recommendations are appreciated.

Thank you

I put a set of SureDrive (FIrestone house brand) 215/65 R15 96H on my '89 last year. They look very good. Just slightly wider than OEM but hard to tell by sight.

About $80 per tire. Assuming you don't plan to drive 120 mph (and I don't) these tires were more than fine. For me they were a very economical and practical choice.
Good quality, quiet ride, good traction. Quality manufacture with warranty.

I couldn't find anything locally in a 215/70R15 so I went to Costco and they had BF Goodrich Advantage Control in that size. Not a premium tire but they drive great and have an H speed rating.

I installed Cooper Endeavor 215/70HR15; speed rated, made in US (Tupelo, MS), and not expensive through Discount Tire. They are excellent, with a great ride, quiet, good wet performance- I have about 15,000 miles and they still look like new. Great tires for the price.
Previously had a set of Sumitomo in 215/65HR15; those didn’t last, and I have never had so many punctures. Don’t recall the line, but are discontinued (good).

I've always been happy with BFG tires; have bought them many times

Cheers

Thats what i put on mine 2 years ago.

They seem fine, and aren't terribly expensive.
