I have managed to get this out of my 2007 XK150 without too much trouble but I am concerned about how to replace it. Is seems that new ones are no longer available which I find astonishing as it's common to many makes of car and apparently only has a life of about 8 years. Has anyone changed theirs? There are many second hand units on eBay but I can't see the point of fitting such a thing. There are new ones available for Volvo which look identical but have a different part number. Are they compatible? Any suggestions gratefully received.

My siren is dead and I haven't bothered to replace it. Do people pay any attention to car alarms these days? They seem to be 95% false activations and more of a nuisance than a help.
