No that is factory Caliper color..When I did the brakes about 6 months ago, I just cleaned them real well and made them look new again...But that is a statement to how low dirt these Akebono pads are...

Yeah you too?..LOL..I painted my exhaust resonators with Hi-Temp silver paint (Rust-o-lium)...Looks better than new now

Excellent..........lol

Me 2.............they look great. I had to do them cos every time I was any distance away from the car my eye kept getting drawn to the nice shiny tailpipes, but, it meant that I saw these shitty old tired lookin back boxes too. Didnt take long to do and well worth it

So how are your tyres peewee, due for replacement anytime soon?
If so what are you gonna go for?

Jim
Hey Jim, no unfortunately the tires arent worn to the extent that would warrant a replacement. I completed my journey to Vermont for my skiing get away. Well, during the ride up it was a complete "white out" on the highway and there was several bad accidents, it snowed 14 inches during my commute up there. My car got sideways a few times but made the trip unscathed. If it was not for the awd on this car I would not have made it. I could have fared better with snow tires but last year we got a whooping12" of snow for the whole year. I figured this year would be the same. I was impressed with my car during the drive but I think I need a coolant flush or to get my heater core checked. Currently, it only blows warm air if the car is in motion. Even if the motor is fully warmed up and doesn't matter if its on AC or not. Hopefully I will be able to get it diagnosed. Hows your car doing Jim, solve those problems?

Wait they changed the AWD system in 2004? Is that for the US too? So if my 03 has a real viscous then its similar to Audi's system.

The car doesn't feel like its stable sometimes and that the front end is kind of light. Felt a little uneasy taking corners, but then I learned, even though it feels light, the car just STICKS to the road no matter what you do. Once I got used to this, I can drive my car more agressively now.

Hey Jim, sorry i didn't see the thread I haven't been on the forum much, busy with work and Christmas and the like. Yes, the drive was a pain took me forever to reach my destination. Even though it was hair raising at times it was kind of fun to push the car to its limits.
