Glen Turret Distillery meet Crieff Sun June 4th details

Well, I resisted the temptation these past few months but gave in today, the meet is on, Sunday 4th June
The ultimate venue is Glen Turret distillery in Crieff, from approx. 09.45am onwards on the day. We will be gathering first at Stirling services
located at J9 just off the M9 from approx. 08.30am.
For logistical reasons it may be more suitable for those coming from the North to meet direct at the Distillery.

We should have a nice Jaguar convoy of perhaps 50-60 cars plus leaving the services promptly at 09.00am, the run to Glen Turret will take approx 45 minutes.
The plan will be to hand out "welcome packs" as far as is possible at the services. These will contain various Jaguar literature, sponsors details, keyrings, pens, name badges and dashboard information sheets for you and your vehicle.

It's a personal choice but I would ask that you use the name badges for easy recognition on the day. It will help others to instantly know you and your car and more likely your forum username, helping the day to go more smoothly.
There will also be a rough Itinerary of the day with approximate timings, these won't necessarily be hard n fast but should give an idea of how the day will go.

The Itinerary will be approximately as follows
08.30am Gather at Stirling services initial meet point. As far as is possible, welcome packs will be handed out here.
09.00am - Leave in convoy for the run to Glen Turret distillery. Morrisons Jaguar will already be there and set up with F Type and possibly XJ.

10.00am - 11.00am - Introduce the Morrisons Jaguar crew. Wild Thyme have kindly put on bacon rolls for us from approx 10am onwards, so time for a coffee / roll and socialising.

Ok guys n gals, we're into the final stretch now with only 5 weeks to go until meet day

Now we're into all the small day to day stuff.
Forum banner will be on its way to Steve Sheldon for his meet shortly, he'll get it back to me in good time for our event.

Black sharpies, prize raffle books, polly pockets, self adhesive labels, printer ink, paper and more all ordered and awaiting delivery.
Still trying to get more literature / leaflets etc for the welcome packs and bags / goodies etc should be on their way from SNG in the near future too.

On that note and as stated in years gone past, I'll be adding adhesive labels in the welcome packs for everyone to wear ( it's personal choice of course ) but does help with easy recognition for all on the day

We have a full compliment of 59 cars and 110 people on the day ( space for 1 more left at present )
As always I'll include a listing of all the sponsors within the "welcome packs" and ask that you give them consideration for any needs you may have, at least the chance to quote for your business. Please don't forget to mention your a member of Jaguarforums at that time.

Now checking and re checking prizes, attendees, our hosts at the distillery and more........

Don't know about the rest of you, but in the meantime I'm also hoping to get booked in for a transmission service, get the wheels off and hubs /calipers repainted, as well as a clay barring session and polishing session if time allows.

Onwards n upwards guys, loads to do.......
All my best

Jim

59 cars & 110 attendees to date

Looks like there may be another 1 to fill the last slot, should know later tonight, so 60 / 112 probably

All vouchers / cash prizes etc are in, just awaiting a few consumables needed which should be here any day now. Call to SNG Barratt confirms all bags c/w goodies, £25 gift voucher and umbrella on their way as we speak, maybe a couple of days away.
Only 124 things left to do, another few rounds of text updates / phone calls etc and we're about there

Don't know about the rest of you, but I've been busy with my car, polishing and repairing a CD changer fault, hubs & calipers to be re done this coming weekend hopefully then a transmission service and I'm about ready.
Now starting to sweat a little to ensure it is the best day possible but also looking forward to it

Best
Jim

Looking forward to it

09.50am - 10.00am Arrive at distillery and park, the forum banner will be set up and available for signing during the day, sharpies provided.
10.00am - 11.00am - Introduce the Morrisons Jaguar crew. Wild Thyme have kindly put on bacon rolls for us from approx 10am onwards, so time for a coffee / roll and socialising.
11.00am - Announce raffle prizes with a brief chat about each sponsor. There are some amazing prizes on offer, raffle tickets will be £1 each will proceeds going into a FINAL raffle for cash prizes to be won. Everyone who bought a ticket will be included in this final draw
11.15am - 12.00pm collect raffle prize entries
12.15pm - 1.00pm raffle draws held and prizes given
1.00pm - 2.00pm - General socialising, pictures and conversation with a final group shot of everyone with the signed forum banner, something like this.....

2.00pm - leave for forum drive event. We'll leave the distillery and take a right along the A85, through Comrie and St Fillans to Lochearnheard, take a left onto the A84 and head down through Strathyre and Callander back towards Stirling. Anyone left at this point will be welcome to congregate once more at Stirling services to chat and round off the day.
4.00pm - 5.00pm Finish

Called in to Mackies transmissions today and had my transmission serviced

Whilst there collect the usual pamphlets / literature, pens, notepads etc etc, all to add to the welcome packs for this years meet.
Hope to be calling to see Nokian tyres later next week to collect similar from them, then the process of adding around 20+ items to over 120 individual bags can begin, oh what fun

Getting closer everyday....2 weeks this Sunday
