Hey Edgy, why not check out the listing of who is going to the meet as against those with XF's and send them a message about what is available?

Any takers take the parts along, if not, leave them home.

If you're going to Stirling Saturday night, unsure where you're staying but JimboV8 and Chris (C16RKC) as well as perhaps one or two others are staying over at the Premier Inn, just next to the kick off point for the Sunday.

It is looking great Jim - you have pulled it out of the hat again way after I started mine :-) something I need to learn to do :-) It's a full day out for everyone and quite a range of models attending. I am looking forward to seeing the pics of the day. Hopefully your weather forecast is brighter than our one is down this way :-)

Had a wee run up to Fort William early doors this morning, a not so quick 230 mile run, but stunning scenery.

Here's a few views similar to what will be on offer at Crieff, assuming the weather plays ball.....24 degrees today!

Look just above the roofline of my car and you'll se the road winding onwards into the distance....

Glencoe falls, a beautiful place that we visited almost yearly with the kids when it was really hot, the waters are crystal clear and ice cold.
You can still see the remnants of a little snow here n there on the hills

The bulk of us will be there Edgy from around 08.30 am onwards, I hope to be there around 08.15 am if possible.
My best guess would be around 50+ cars from Stirling services

Look forward to seeing you there...

Hi Edgy, yes I did....

At the very least JimboV8 and C16RKC along with perhaps 2 or 3 others will be staying in the Premier Inn, just the other side of the roundabout, so you'll be in good company.

You can either pm them, or if you need details please let me know and I can help you to get in touch so you can meet up with them, could be a good wee night.

Looking forward to meeting up
Cheers
Jim

Well guys, Saturday is now here, the day before the big day......

Spent the day today catching up with some chores, grass cutting etc, then onto both interiors of the XJ and X type cleaned ( less to do tomorrow )

Up early tomorrow for haircut, then on with exterior cleaning of the XJ and X type, and probably a quick going over of the F type too, busy busy busy.....

We had weather warnings for today / Saturday, but had a brief thunderstorm around 6pm which lasted for around 30 mins and was dry again within the hour, so damn hot though, clammy heat made things uncomfortable.

Had a nice call from Tupps44, the new owner of my ole lady that seems to be looking gorgeous and ready to rock n roll. EdgyXFR on the way to Stirling, may catch up with JimboV8 and C16RKC, Fraser Mitchell may be around too guys, so watch out for any Jag owners in the vicinity.

Massive thank you again to al our sponsors and look forward to seeing you all bright eyed and bushy tailed with calipers painted Sunday morning

Happy motoring and stay safe, it's a jungle out there.....

Jim

Well guys, XJ and X type cleaned and all ready good to go, just awaiting Mrs C in the F type now to give that a going over

The sun is shining here big time, really hot, around 24 degrees right up until 3.30pm and now we have a little thunder ( waiting for lightning and rain )

I think Chris and Jimbo must be bringing it with them.

Mrs C arrived back around 2.30 pm with the F type R Dynamic 300 ( 4 pot engine in this one )

Looks great, the pops n crackles aren't the same as the V6 isn't the same as the V8 but very capable and nice car all the same. Suffice to say she has a massive grin ear to ear and pointedly tells me I made a HUGE mistake.
Why I ask?
Now I want one she says.....lol

I politely and with love tell her I want 6 numbers for the lottery but I'm probably not going to get that either

Been a long day already and still lots to do, grab a few hours and then up and at em for tomorrow

See you all in the morning
Jim

Spent the last two days washing and polishing ready for tomorrow...rear left molar cracked open resulting in an emergency dental appointment...guess when? Yes tomorrow at 1040!!! I'm still going to try and make it but it's not looking good. Can't believe how gutted I am 😷😭. So sorry Jim, I was really looking forward to it.

We'll be setting off shortly from our But 'n Ben near Powmill. Car looks as good as one can expect after the dash up from Crewe yesterday. The rain in Scotland was biblical !!
