Default ###Scottish meet event Glen Turret Distillery Sun 7th June!###

Hi all,
there's been a few posts recently by some members as well as a text / email or two asking about any upcoming meet events?

Well, none planned so far, but it might be a good time to try and gather some feedback

The Mackies visit https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...hlight=mackies

some time ago went really well as did the great day out organised by Tom Bell https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...t=east+fortune

I'm wondering if it might be time to try and put something together?

Should we look to do something organised again as a static event / meet or perhaps arrange a meet and do a run for the day, there's some great roads available!
Perhaps combine both?
Please bear in mind that organising such events take serious time, energy and effort, including many hundreds of man hours in cross forum posting, updating threads, calls etc etc

In all probability it can take at least a few months to arrange anything decent, so we'd probably be looking at around say end of May / beginning of June.

Perhaps a meet at the famous Glen Turret Distillery in Crieff, set in some amazing scenery?

They have a decent sized car park and and fantastic restaurant with good food and whisky tasting sessions for any passengers.
We could look at meeting at Stirling services to form a convoy for those interested for the remaining 20 miles or so, it'd be great to see a long line of Jags firstly on the motorway and then on the twisties coming into Crieff and ending at the distillery.

Have a meet / catch up meeting old and hopefully new faces with a late breakfast, early lunch and a few pics no doubt of members and cars.

Then a road trip, probably only 60 miles or so leaving Crieff up the A85 through Comrie to Lochearnhead,

then on the A84 back to Callander

and onwards to Stirling and the central belt once more.

If it were to be a nice day, you'll see some of the most stunning scenery with mountains and glens, lochside roads and picture perfect locations

Just one thought.........

I guess I can have a look at seeing if I can get any giveaway prizes, perhaps anyone with a code reader could bring it along to help anyone with codes / issues etc and of course we'll bring the banner for all to sign

anyone?

Hi Jim

The distillery looks good as does the Scenery I'm up for a meeting.

Default Road trip

My soggy old 350 might like a gentle run for a change.

Cool Scottish trip

Hi Jim, interested in the meet as usual, haven't managed one yet! In Australia at the moment, heading to my home country Scotland this year also, so the dates, when you get them is obviously important, as always interested it all that you post. Cheers lukie
