Hi there, It is worth taking a look in our recommended repairers listing here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...rvices-113590/ and seeing if any of the recommended people there are within range for you - if not you are dependant on anyone else in the Surrey area who may have a recommendation for you..

Hi there,
I used to use a local tyre/exhaust/servicing chain for servicing and basic repairs but after a couple of issues I switched to a local mechanic, recommended by the MOT inspector that knows me and my Jags well :-).
He has owned a Jaguar before himself, & specialises in general repairs and servicing, is happy ordering in whatever Jaguar specific parts are required or using parts etc you supply yourself and for me he has been quick, efficient, and he is at a good rate compared to many other places locally.
Crawley - Spooky Manor Classics \SteveSheldon 31-01-18 (basic mechanics and restoration call 01293 862727)
I would recommend giving him a call and see what he can do for you - if you do decide to go with him be warned he is in demand locally and you may have to book a little ahead.

Hi, not solely Jag but there is an excellent Bosch approved workshop called Service Plus, Redhill. They are on an industrial estate in Merstham called Holmethorpe number is 01737 780900. The workshop is spotless. They are approved on the computer systems of most of the big names so worth checking. They recently did my Merc ML320 and the service shows up as a main dealer would.
In my experience they are brilliant. I've used them for years, 6 month old Rangerovers, 4WD Mercs and they have just done the rear bearings and A frame bushes on my 1996 XJ6 X300. They do a great job, only do what needs doing and are very reasonable and trustworthy.
I've sent many family and friends their way and never heard of a complaint.
Hope it helps.

The likely reason there's few replies to your question is not that members are ignoring it - it's simply that the majority do their own repairs either as a way of keeping running costs down or as a hobby.
There's nothing complicated about the items in the Maintenance Schedules for the XK8 and no special equipment is required. Any competent independent garage will be able to carry this out - it doesn't have to be a Jaguar specialist.
Repairs are a very different matter. This frequently does require specialist knowledge.
Here's two independent Jaguar specialists in Surrey:
Jaguar Services | Specialists Garage | Ashtead | nr Epsom | Surrey |
Jag and Land Surrey | Car service specialists for executive brands
I have no personal experience of either but Jaguar owners are a demanding breed and you don't stay in business very long if you can't meet their expectations.
Some members travel considerable distances to use their preferred specialist. Our Admin (JimC64) who lives in Glasgow regularly took his previous X350 to a Jaguar specialist in Doncaster for repairs.
