UK South East Annual Convoy & Meet Event Sunday 27th May 2018

I am at it again! This will be our SEVENTH event, and I promise will be bigger, better, incorporating some new and improved features and timings for everyone.

This event is open to anyone and everyone who has a Jaguar - free to sign up for, free to attend, with just a small charge for the main prize draw on the day.

Full information will follow as I start to pull things together, but we will have a start venue, a convoy, and a main meet venue, at least one prize draw with lots of Jaguar orientated goodies, trade stands onsite with demos, show price products, and so much more.

As always our event is not only free, but easy to sign up for - we just need your name/alias, Jaguar model, year of manufacture, and how many people you anticipate will be travelling and we'll do the rest. You can pop a post on one of our forum threads, our facebook page (facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK), our Twitter feed (@JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet), or email at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk

Please keep an eye on this space as it ewill be updated with attendees, sponsors, and of course the full event dertails and information as we go.

Just a quick update for you - I am still in discussions with all our event sponsors but so far it looks like we have managed to retain most of our 2017 sponsors for our 2018 event which is great news. I will get the final info up online as soon as I have it concreted down. Our Twitter feed has still yet to get fully running for 2018 but it should be up to speed inside the next few weeks, and I am very much looking into a change of format for our 2019 event making our great Jaguar event even better - again more info to follow as I go

I have just become aware that my son (Otherwise known as the Boss at events :-)) has set up an Instagram account and linked it to our event Facebook page - however his account is not linked to the event in any way.

Sooo after two years of thinking about it I have just setup an Instagram account for our event under the login JaguarForumsUK - quite a few people and sponsors have been asking for it so here we are.. now you can follow our annual event on the forum threads, facebook, twitter or even instagram! :-)

Incidentally our Twitter following is on a steady increase currently hopefully helping us get to an even bigger event for 2018 :-)

I have also been asked a few times if I need help with our event, and I have always said 'No, I am fine for the moment' however now I have two forums, a facebook page, a twitter feed and instagram to keep running through to our next event, in addition to pulling everything into place with a long term view as well as the next event.

If anyone is interested in helping with our event and has an affinity for Instagram, or in truth any of the feeds we now run please drop me a line I would love to hear from you..

SteveSheldon 06-22-2017 03:33 AM

OK our event Instagram account is now fully up and running - still waiting to be able to disconnect my sons account from our Facebook page, and link our new account to it - but it is all up and running for everyone and will be updated every couple of days the same as our Twitter feed. So please, if you want a regular feed of our event pics and information follow our Twitter feed @JFBrightonMeets and/or our new Instagram feed at JaguarForumsUK :-)

SteveSheldon 06-23-2017 07:11 AM

Great news - we have another incredible sponsor on board for our 2018 event :-)

I have also started negotiations with our venues for next year so we know what we are up to as far in advance as possible, making planning easier for us.

I am additionally still waiting on feedback from some further potential sponsors - full info to follow as and when I get it, but everything is very much on the go for our next event.

Please don't forget to sign up - as we have a great 2018 event to come you wont want to miss it, and the planning doesn't stop there either!

We are likely to have Harwoods Jaguar getting much more involved in 2019 with a shift in the format of our event - again full info to follow as soon as things are in place ..

Meanwhile please sign up sooner rather than later :-) If you would like to get involved with our event as a sponsor and have the option of a trade stand at our 2018 event please get in touch we would love to hear from you, and if you own a Jaguar please, please sign up and lets have the biggest convoy & meet event we have run to-date :-)

All models and ages of Jaguar are very welcome - whether they are the school run daily runners or weekend & holiday Jaguars, treasured drivers or workhorses, young or old why not sign up and join our event and help us represent as many Jaguar models and years of production as possible?

OK guys,

As you will be aware I have been busy trying to retain existing event sponsors, develop new sponsorship partners, and get our event venues booked up PLUS work on the timetable for our event whilst solving the issues we found after our change of venues and timings.

We have had quite a successful start to our planning - full details to follow as we go, but we do now have our starting point venue, and also our main venue firmly booked for 2018.

We have also managed to retain a number of our 2017 sponsors, and I am currently working on the others that I have yet to hear back from.

As for the change of venue and our events' 'growing pains' I am in discussion currently with our venues regarding numbers and timings to try to negotiate a solution to our concerns whilst enabling them to service our needs better.

I am aware of what we need to achieve, after a number of frank discussions with attendees and our trade partners and believe I have a solution to most if not all of them for 2018 :-) Thankyou very much to them for the positive critisisms which have enabled me to deal with the issues we had.

When our event started we had around 6 or 7 cars, and Madiera Drive, Brighton was our massive home (how could we ever outgrow it? :-)), now a few years down the road we are talking 100-200 Jaguars per event, plus trade stands, show deals, prize draws, awards and more and we are still growing year on year :-) We are doing well, and I promise that 2018 will be even bigger and better than 2017 - lol - I promise this every year and have yet to not manage it :-)

If you would like to get involved as a sponsor of our great free Jaguar event please just drop a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk, and as always if you would like a great free Jaguar day out with great company, cars, food and more please, please sign up for our event today.

The more people that sign up for our event, the more we can manage with our event sponsors. 2018 will be our biggest event to-date, please sign up and guarantee you do not miss out on this great day out for everyone from petrolheads to families :-)

Welcome to our JaguarForums Annual Convoy & Meet event for 2018!

Further to the success of our previous events, we have an incredible Jaguar exclusive event for you in 2018!

As always this event is free to sign up for and attend, and we have a great Jaguar day out for you. There will be two venues, a gorgeous cross country convoy element, a main event with prizes, awards, demonstrations, trade stands, show special prices, food and drink, and an opportunity to be a part of a one day collection of Jaguars spanning over 60 years of production with as many models as we can gather.

There will be free Welcome packs, samples, offers, discounts and all the usual things you would expect with a ticketed event, but this event is free! (except for a small charge for the main prize draw)

Please consider signing up, and penciling our event into your diary - the more people that sign up, the more we can organise with our event sponsors making this a win win situation for us :-) It is free to sign up for, and you are under no obligation so go on, just let us know your name/online alias, Jaguar model, year of production or reg, and how many people will likely be travelling in total and we'll do the rest :-) It is genuinely that easy to sign up for.
