Welcome to our JaguarForums Annual Convoy & Meet event for 2018!

Further to the success of our previous events, we have an incredible Jaguar exclusive event for you in 2018!

As always this event is free to sign up for and attend, and we have a great Jaguar day out for you. There will be two venues, a gorgeous cross country convoy element, a main event with prizes, awards, demonstrations, trade stands, show special prices, food and drink, and an opportunity to be a part of a one day collection of Jaguars spanning over 60 years of production with as many models as we can gather.

There will be free Welcome packs, samples, offers, discounts and all the usual things you would expect with a ticketed event, but this event is free! (except for a small charge for the main prize draw)

Please consider signing up, and penciling our event into your diary - the more people that sign up, the more we can organise with our event sponsors making this a win win situation for us :-) It is free to sign up for, and you are under no obligation so go on, just let us know your name/online alias, Jaguar model, year of production or reg, and how many people will likely be travelling in total and we'll do the rest :-) It is genuinely that easy to sign up for.

For those of you wondering how we are doing, we currently have the following statistics and info on our event:

Our event has -

426 Twitter feed followers
230 Facebook friends
13 active Sponsors
5 sponsors signed up for Trade Stands on the day
Just over 2000 forum thread hits to-date, with our 2017 event currently having received just over 51,000 hits :-)

In addition to this we are awaiting feedback from five further possible sponsors and pushing for them to take up trade stands to meet everyone on the day.

We have confirmed the start point, and main venue with our hosts for 2018 just calculating start and finish times for both currently.

We will have a new layout at the main venue with a focal point for events through the day involving our onsite suppliers with demonstrations, talks etc.

We are also currently just starting our search for additional sponsors - especially any that may want to take advantage of a free trade stand slot on the day :-)

So as always a lot on the go :-)

If you have yet to sign up for our event please take the time to do so, it's quick, we only need to know name/alias, year and model of Jaguar plus how many people will likely be travelling, and it's even free to sign up for and attend!!

OK guys it is almost the weekend and time for me to put aways the C1 that I use for the school runs, and let my S-Type kitty loose on the open road :-)

It has been a busy week with sponsors re-signing for our event, new potential sponsors approached, our event thread getting the go-ahead to be hosted on not just two Jaguar forums but three, plus some more great feedback leading to some more planned improvements for our 2018 event.

Our venues for 2018 are now set, and I am currently working on our planned 2019 venues.

The schedule and layout of our 2018 event will be slightly different to our 2017 event with a number of suggested improvements implemented - Massive thanks to everyone that has fed back their thoughts on how our sixth event went and how things could be improved :-)

We will again be starting at Pease Pottage Services, but this year will be switching from the conservatory area on the right of the building (which has always been quite hot and cramped) to another larger more comfortable conservatory room on the left of the building, the event timings will also be shifting a little earlier so we miss the local road congestion issues.

We are also retaining Denbies Wine Estate as our main venue, but with a slightly earlier event start the breakfast issues should be sorted, plus we will be setting up on the side of our plot there nearest to the main buildings, rather than the side furthest away, making it easier for people to move between the event and the facilities and linking us with them more than we would otherwise be.

Additionally, we are hoping for more trade stands on the day and attendees will be parking in a horseshoe format giving us an enclosed central area in front of the trade stands.

Our main stand will be set up in the middle of the area with the prizes, awards, banner etc. making the centre of the area a focal point for the day.

I am in discussions currently with trade stands & I believe we will have product demonstrations and talks during the day connecting the trade with attendees more and encouraging more attendee participation through the day.

Obviously we are retaining everything from our 2017 event - but hoping to be able to organise more prizes, bigger than ever Welcome packs, more awards to be won - and don't forget the prestigeous Scratchshield Best Turned Out Jag Shield to be won :-) and of course more Jaguars than ever to see :-)

As things come into place I will let you guys know, but this is where we are now and I have to be honest it's loo9king likely to continue my promise of being bigger and better every year :-)

Some good news regarding our event - so far three companies have signed up for presentation slots at our 2018 event, and I am in discussions with three others currently.

This will allow us to make good use of the central area at our event, ensure that there is something of interest going on through the whole day for everyone, and give you the chance to get up close and personal with our trade attendees and sponsors, and learn some 'tricks of the trade' as they go.

Welcome to our JaguarForums Annual Convoy & Meet event for 2018!

Further to the success of our previous events, we have an incredible Jaguar exclusive event for you in May 2018!

We will be starting at Pease Pottage Services with a slightly earlier start time than the last event, & we will have a larger more airy room set aside exclusively for us on the day. There will be the obligatory welcome speech running through the features of our day, and free Welcome Packs distributed to get you in the mood for the day, plus event registration :-).

We will then have a scenic convoy through gorgeous Sussex and Surrey countryside to our main venue, with a mixture of main & country roads to our main venue Denbies Wine Estate.

At Denbies we will have a new layout for our event with a central area reserved for presentations and displays during the day. We will have trade stands onsite with great show deals, and a vast pool of Jaguar knowledge for you to quiz. In addition we will have a huge prize draw, and a number of awards to be made including the prestigious 'Best Turned Out Jag' award sponsored by Scratchshield to be passed from our 2017 winner to the new winner :-)

Add to this, superb company, over 60 years of Jaguar production spread across as many models as we can manage and you have our event :-) It is a great day out for everyone in itself but add to that what the largest wine estate in England has to offer (tours, tastings, great food, wine etc) and you have an incredible day out.

Hi Guys,

This is literally just a brief update on things. I have been pretty quiet the last few weeks, as next week is the annual family road trip which this year is going to be Essex, Kent and the Midlands so have been busy getting my part of things sorted for it.

Things have still been on the go regarding our event though in the background - not only do we have 22 people and 13 Jaguars signed up, with 13 event sponsors, & 5 trade stands - some of whom will be doing presentations on the day - but items for the event are already starting to collect at home :-)

We have a great event ahead of us - so please consider signing up, if you haven't already. The more of us that sign up, the more swing I can get with potential sponsors, and trade stands for us..

Meanwhile please have a great Jaguar time in my absence and don't forget to sign yourself up for what promises to be an even bigger and better event next year :-)

Hi Guys,

After our last event it has been a busy time here with me with family roadtrips and getting two cars ready for their MOT's and the winter. But I have almost finished doing everything I need to do and my attention is turning more to our up and coming bigger and better 2018 event :-)

I have been checking and a number of our event attendee discounts are still running, so please take advantage of them showing our event sponsors that they are right to support us, and get yourself some great discounts at the same time.

I have been holding off on reviewing the latest NextBase dashcam which I managed to lay my hands on before the family roadtrip but will be reviewing it shortly now, as it has been in action for a few thousand miles - keep an eye out for that if you are considering buying a dashcam.

Our new event Instagram account has been steadily building in popularity over the summer, and our Facebook and Twitter accounts have been growing.

Our event forum threads have now received over 5.700 hits, our Facebook page has 229 friends, our Twitter account 448 followers, and our new Instagram account has 32 people and our event is slowly becoming more well known.

If you have not signed up yet for our great free Jaguar event - why not? It's free to sign up for and attend, and you are under no obligations.. we will have two venues, a road trip/convoy, great surroundings, incredible food and wine, prizes, awards, trade attendance, talks/presentations, plus incredible cars and fantatstic company..

Why not sign up now and guarantee yourself, your family, and of course your Jaguar a great Jaguar day out? It's so easy to do - we just need to know your name or alias, Jaguar model & year, and how many will be travelling and that's it.. you will be signed up.

You can pop a post on our forum thread, email JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk, tweet @JFBrightonMeets, or pop a post or message up at facecebook.com\JaguarForumsUK making our event easy to get in touch with and sign up.

So go on, give yourself an early Christmas present and sign up for our great free 2018 event :-)

As you know, our free Welcome Packs that you get with every event, come with a fair amount of paperwork with event details, routes etc. etc. and it would be great if our event had a header/graphic specific to it..

I am suggesting the graphic/wording below and would appreciate any thoughts, comments and help in fine tuning this for our event..

My suggested header/logo for our event - very open to thoughts/suggestions and help in finetuning :-)

I have been quiet on here for a while now due to changing tyres, discs, pads, battery, & servicing my S-Type prior to it's MOT in just over a weeks time - still worried as always but am hoping it will go through..

However I have still been busy in the background, regarding our event :-)

As you will likely all be aware we now have an official header/logo for our 2018 event which will be used in our advertising and paperwork for the Welcome Packs etc

Additionally I am in negotiation with a driver safety organisation, hoping we can gain their involvement with our event, helping us to become even safer drivers with reduced insurance costs too.

As soon as I have more info for you guys I will post it up here for you.. but everything is still very much on track for the biggest and best convoy & meet to-date

Steve,

Good luck for the MoT.

I'm usually confident that everyrthing mechanical is up to standard but the emissions test always worries me - the only item I can't check myself in advance.

Currently I can confirm the following:
