Just to let you know discussions with the ROSPA are ongoing and they seem quite positive about getting involved with our event for 2018, and we are very close to a tie-in with the Classic Car Curation website and newsfeed.

As soon as I have more info I will update you.. :-)

The ROSPA have put us in touch with the 'Sussex Advanced Drivers' group. They will hopefully let us know in November if they are able to attend on the day and meet us all.

The Classic Car Curation website and news feed have agreed to carry an article about our event, which is great and should kick off our advertising for 2018.

Once this is in place (bearing in mind I have yet to write it :-)) I will start working round as many of the cars news websites as I can to see if we can get something online with them. The logic being that the more attendees and industry attendees we have the bigger and better things are for this, our seventh event :-) and a win win situation for everyone.

Welcome to our JaguarForums Annual Convoy & Meet event for 2018!

Further to the success of our previous events, we have an incredible Jaguar exclusive event for you in May 2018!

This will be on Sunday 27th of May this year. We will be starting at Pease Pottage Services with a slightly earlier start time than the last event, & we will have a larger more airy room set aside exclusively for us on the day. There will be the obligatory welcome speech running through the features of our day, and free Welcome Packs distributed to get you in the mood for the day, plus event registration :-).

We will then have a scenic convoy through gorgeous Sussex and Surrey countryside to our main venue, with a mixture of main & country roads to our main venue Denbies Wine Estate.

At Denbies we will have a new layout for our event with a central area reserved for presentations and displays during the day. We will have trade stands onsite with great show deals, and a vast pool of Jaguar knowledge for you to quiz. In addition we will have a huge prize draw, and a number of awards to be made including the prestigious 'Best Turned Out Jag' award sponsored by Scratchshield to be passed from our 2017 winner to the new winner :-)

Add to this, superb company, over 60 years of Jaguar production spread across as many models as we can manage and you have our event :-) It is a great day out for everyone in itself but add to that what the largest wine estate in England has to offer (tours, tastings, great food, wine etc) and you have an incredible day out.

There will be free Welcome packs, samples, offers, discounts and all the usual things you would expect with a ticketed event, but this event is free! (except for a small charge for the main prize draw)

Please consider signing up, and penciling our event into your diary - the more people that sign up, the more we can organise with our event sponsors making this a win win situation for us :-) It is free to sign up for, and you are under no obligation so go on, just let us know your name/online alias, Jaguar model, year of production or reg, and how many people will likely be travelling in total and we'll do the rest :-) It is genuinely that easy to sign up for.

Currently I can confirm the following:

As you will be aware I was at Harwoods Jaguar Brighton last weekend getting my S-Types locking wheel nuts removed - whilst there I was chatting with Tony regarding this, our next event & he is hoping to be bringing along a showroom E-Pace, & I-Pace for us.. he will also hopefully be using one of our new presentation slots on the day.

OK a little bit of an update for everyone:

The Classic Car Curator News Hub now has our article and are reformatting etc prior to it going live online, hopfully bringing more trade connections and attendees for our 2018 event - I will let you know as soon as it is online, and then start looking at promoting our event across a number of other news/car event sites.

We now have another company interested in becoming involved which runs a classic car hire service, and a magazine - possibly may miss our 2018 event but hit our 2019 event.

In addition I am in final negiotiations with another potential sponsor currently with again, more info to come as I get it.

Our 2018 event is set for more trade stands, a change in the mix of sponsors and the services they supply, presentations to see through the day, and so much more.

If you are not signed up yet please consider doing so and guaranteeing your slot at what promises to be a great FREE Jaguar day out for everyone.

You can even keep upto date with our event via forum thread, twitter (@JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet), facebook (www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK), or Instagram (JaguarForumsUK).

This week has been quite busy for our event, so I took a look at our stats and we are doing better than I had anticipated - which is great news for our event :-)

We have gained new sponsors, new trade stands, more event followers, an article on a classic car news hub, and more in just the past week :-)

Here are the stats so you know where we are so far:

Our forum threads have received over 7,400 hits
Our news feed article has received over 340 hits in the past two days
Our Instagram feed now has 40 followers
Our Twitter feed has over 450 followers
Our Facebook page has 227 friends

We have 4 sponsored awards including the coveted Scratchshield Best Turned Out Jag Award

We have 16 companies sponsoring us at various levels plus 5 companies have already agreed to attend with a trade stand

I am still following up with a number of former sponsors from our 2017 event, plus a few new leads so please keep an eye on things here as there is a lot happening regarding our event :-)

A little more good news about our next event in 2018 - Professional Valeters & Detailers, Pro-valets.co.uk, ongoing event sponsors, have agreed to attend our next event with a talk regarding detailing and a Q&A session for attendees - please join me in welcoming them to joining us on the day :-)

Additionally I have been approached by a Jaguar specialist who is located some distance from our event, who is interested in bringing one or more Jaguars along, and possibly attending our event with a trade stand plus hopefully taking advantage of a presentation slot. As soon as I know more I will let you know.. this would take us up to 8 trade stands for the day :-)

So far we are on track for:

More trade stands than ever
Presentation slots through the day
Bigger prize draw than ever
More awards for more classes of Jaguar
A smoother and more complete convoy experience
Not just incredible lunches but breakfasts too at the Denbies Carvery Restaurant
Plus the usual free Welcome Packs, discounts, incredible Jaguars and fantastic company for the day :-)

So why not join everyone? If you haven't signed up yet, please do - it's completely free, and we would love you to join us on the day. All we need to know is your model, and year of Jaguar plus how many people travelling, and you will be signed up - it is that easy :-) Go on, why not guarantee yourself a great Jaguar day out, as only Jaguar owners know how :-)

Just a quick update for you - this week has been quite busy again here :-)

We have a number of companies interested in sponsoring/attending our event that I am waiting to hear back from - hopefully leading to more industry support for us.

Plus for the first year ever, our event sponsors may have some deals for us to help us get through the Christmas period treating not just us but our Jaguars too.. as soon as I have more info on this I will let you know.

Our event is growing year on year, with more and more going on right through the year - why not sign up for our next event - its completely free to sign up for and attend!

You have nothing to lose by doing so, and guarantee yourself a great day out for you, your family, and your Jaguar with great scenery, locations, free welcome packs, a prize draw for incredible prizes and awards for the best of class Jaguars attending on the day.

OK it's now official - our event is now not only helping you keep your Jaguar costs down in the summer, but also at Christmas!!

This is a feature I will try to build on each year for us as well, if I can..

Christmas is a time when our Jaguars tend to get forgotten with the weather usually untoward, and the nights drawing in on us making it the ideal time for a Christmas present for your Jaguar :-)

To this end we have a Christmas competition to come, with the prizes delivered in time for Christmas Day, and a discount code for those who just miss out on these great prizes.

Please keep an eye on our forum threads, or facebook page for everything you need to know to be in with a chance at this prize..

Our Annual Convoy & Meet Christmas Competition (UK ONLY):

OK, it is almost halfway between events, the weather is becoming more wintry and you need to be able to keep your Jaguar washed scratch free if you are to be in with a chance to win the 'Best Turned Out Jag' award at our next event.

We have the solution ( & it's free as always with us :-))!

We have teamed up with Scratchshield to offer you the chance to win one of two bucket and filter sets plus a t-shirt in your size, to be with you in time for Christmas!

Scratchshield is a system I swear by which keeps wash and rinse separate, and filters your water too ensuring you dont scratch your Jaguar paintwork as you wash.

Additionally if you are like me it's great to be able to sit to do the sills etc as the buckets also double as seats! It is a system that I genuinely use weekly and recommend anyone to get if they don't already have it.

In order to be in with a chance of one of these great prizes all you need to do is drop an email to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk with the message title 'Scratchshield Christmas Draw' and you will be entered. As always with us it is free and simple to enter :-)

This competition runs until the 1st of December with the winners announced here on the 2nd December, guaranteeing your prize will be with you in time for Christmas.

Entries only accepted by email - and the draw decision is final.. no arguing :-)

Please note that your email address will not be collected or used for any other purpose than contacting you should you win, so it is not only free, easy to enter but also safe for you to enter..

So go on, why not enter our free competition and give your Jaguar a christmas present? :-)

For those of you who cannot wait we have even managed to gain you a 10% discount on the entire Scratchshield range of products - just go to https://www.scratchshield.co.uk/ and use the code 'ssjagxmas17' at the checkout, noting it is all in lowercase.

A huge thankyou goes out to the Scratchshield team for supporting us not just with the sponsored shield for 'Best Turned Out Jag, and incredible prizes for the annual event prize draw, but now also for enabling us to run our Christmas competition for you guys :-)

I am not sure if any of you have seen this, but Scratchshield listed our event in the news section a while ago and this is what they had to say about us: https://www.scratchshield.co.uk/blog...d-true-passion
