OK, 1st December it is then.

Steve, we could meet up before that date if you like and on the day, I could come to you and convoy down with you?

Thanks
Mike

That would suit me fine Mike. A chance to grab a coffee or tea on the way as you have further to travel. Meanwhile I'm hoping on Monday to find out if the event can be listed in visitBrighton :-) if so that will hopefully get a few more jag owners or potential ones along :-)

Ok. 1st Dec is definately set! My wife not too keen on Brighton sea front in December so will be me and maybe the children. On the basis of this have started to get my baby jag upto spec. as it gets quite a hammering from the children on a daily basis grin. Until looking I hadnt realised quite how long since the last good wax and interior clean :-)
Am hoping a good few of us can make the 1st Dec meet and am looking forward to meeting everyone.

Keep posting away on this Steve, lets keep this live until then and perhaps add some more interest??

As I've said, there should be some Jaguarforum decals on their way to you for this event, to give out to those who attend.

I'm also quite hopeful that a 2nd forum banner, will be authorised, made in time and shipped to you in time for this event as well.

It'd be great to get all attending members to sign their usernames and a pic of the banner with everyone + cars.

All my best

Jim

Just a quick update - I thought it might be an idea to get Jaguar theirselves involved if they can assist us in any way - so I've emailed them about the meeting, asking if they can help or participate in any way, and will feedback what I hear...

Hi Steve, if anything, I'd suggest you'd be better seeing if the local dealer
( Harwoods, Brighton ) would be interested?

The dealer principle is Phil Ratcliff and the sales manager is Chris Bacon I believe.

If you have 5 or 6, perhaps 10-12 Jaguar owner members appearing on the day, they may be interested in getting involved.

Other dealerships have become involved to varying degrees.......

It could be allowing use of the car park, perhaps laying on some sandwiches / coffee to offering some small Jaguar novelty gifts, maybe putting something a little bigger up as a prize or allowing clsoe inspection of the F type, maybe more.....??

Its just a thought, perhaps one you might consider?

Hope it helps

Jim

OK we have feedback about the local advertising...

We always love to hear of local events and would be happy to list yours in the 'what's on' section of our website. Please send us details of the dates, venue, cost (if applicable) and a short descriptive paragraph of the event and we will include it in http://www.visitbrighton.com/site/whats-on.

Hi John - the plan is for the meet to be 10:30am - am planning on starting earlier though on the day which will allow for easier parking in Mediera Drive

I look forward to seeing you on the day John -keep an eye on things in the thread here as I am trying to tie a few things together that will hopefully add 'value' :-) to the meet...
*If* I can pull this one together I'll be tempted to make this a regular occurance - but to do that we need make this one work lol - Currently I believe we have about ten people saying they want to attend - which is a very good start.. but very, very open to anyone wanting to come along and meet up.. just let me know :-)

Admittedly the secondary picture there is not ideal. If anyone has a small pic suitable please let me know and I'll see if I can get it inserted. Plus the website link is not correct so have asked them to fix that also.
However just chuffed to get listed and official :-)

Interested in this - will check dates with my wife later. Hope to have made my XJ6 look somewhat respectable by then - repair and paint rusty arches, pull out door dent and replace broken indicator cover...

Chris,

I intend to stop off at Steve's on the way (and between now and then) for a convoy. You're more than welcome to join the convoy....as it's on the way for you?

Steve, I'll PM you soon about popping round sometime.

Thanks
Mike

Nice work on the listing. We will be there, hope the weather holds for us. Never been to a gathering before but looking forward to it.
Well done on all your hard work.
