Tampa Bay British Car Club Members and Friends:

Wow, The Presidents First Drive was HUGE, we had 40 cars join us for the scenic drive and 76 People for lunch and about 40 toured Slicks Garage. Thanks to all those that went on the drive. And special thanks to Carl Tela, Robert Infanzon and My Wife Fiona in helping organize the event and leading a group of cars.

The next Club activity will be the Tampa Bay British Car Clubs Burger Quest at The Chattaway in St Pete, on January 18.

The Tampa Bay British Car Club’s first meeting for 2015 will be January 22 at The Paradise Restaurant in Safety Harbor. Join us in planning the New Year.

For the next few weeks The Club Dues will be prominent in the emails. Dues paid before January 31 will include a subscription to the Classic Motorsports Magazine. This magazine is $42.00 a year on the news stand. We get a special price for the Club. But it is a time sensitive offer and your dues MUST be paid by January 31, NO exceptions. If you have a question, please contact me and I'll find an answer.

Have you paid your DUES??
Dues are due on January 1, 2015 and delinquent after January 31st.
All members and these new members that joined before October 1, 2014, your dues are due. Once again we are keeping the dues at $30.00 per annum. You can pay at any club event or meeting.
The Classic Motorsport Magazine will be included with all memberships paid by January 31, 2015.

The weekend weather will be cool and dry, Get That Classic Car Out and have FUN.

Remember, traveling in packs (Fiona said that should be "a herd with
tools") is the safest way to go, so if there is somewhere you want to go
and would like company there is usually someone in the club that would
like the company also.

****1976 Jensen GT Coupe to be auctioned off in Scottsdale next month. 1976 JENSEN GT COUPE - Barrett-Jackson Auction Company - World's Greatest Collector Car Auctions It will be on the first day of auctioning on that Monday the 12th of January around 4 to 4:30. I'm not sure when it will be picked up yet but until then I am open to offers. I really would like to see it go to a good home with a Museum being the preference. All the events are open to ALL Clubs, cars and people. Get your classic
car out and have some fun.

The McDonalds on Tom Stewart Causeway at Madeira Beach.
This is a group of British Car enthusiasts who have some lively
discussions and enjoy driving their classic cars. Any and all are
welcome.

January 10 - Humane Society Benefit Car Show. 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Hosted by Larry's Classic Cruisers, and held at 5710 Ranch Lake Boulevard, the show benefits the Humane Society of Manatee County, and is open to all makes and models. January 18 - Tampa Bay British Car Clubs Burger Quest at The Chattaway, 358 22nd Ave. S., St. Pete 33705, Sunday at 1:30 PM. Come join us at The Chattaway, the oldest restaurant in St. Pete and it features the ‘Best Burgers’. The weather should be perfect for eating under their covered outdoor dining area. January 25- Devereaux-Kaiser Collector Car Meet. 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Hosted by the Sunshine Region AACA, and held at 12205 Rangeland Parkway (map is approximate), the show is open to vehicles 1990 and older, FREE to entrants and spectators, with dash plaques available, and car corral spaces for $25. January 25 – Polo Match Outing and Tail Gate Party (All car clubs invited) at the Sarasota Polo Club in Lakewood Ranch, Hosted by The Florida Alfa Romeo Club. $15.00 per person fee includes select tailgate parking by the field and a pole shelter, bleacher seating or your own travel chairs. January 31 - Quaker Steak & Lube Car Show. 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Hosted by Lance's Cruzin' To The Hop, and held at Quaker Steak & Lube, 10400 49th Street, the show is open to all makes and models, and features trophies including specialty awards, door prizes, and a 50/50 jackpot. Registration fee is $10.

February 7 - Boggy Bottom AutoFest. 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Presented by Tampa Wax Slingers, and held at Boggy Bottom Ranch, 8407 Lupton Place, the show is open-to-all, with 40 awards, DJ Ed Cullins, games, kids activities, craft and automotive vendors, and a two-hour, all-you-can-eat BBQ meal (BBQ beef, pork, ribs, chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, corn on the cob, garlic bread, apple cobbler, and beverages) included for each registrant. April 15 - Cherokee, NC. - Peace Love Mini - Mini 56. We're going back to the amazing twisty roads around Cherokee, North Carolina. The theme is 60's Hippie!! Located at the south entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and at the beginning of the Blue Ridge Parkway we will be based within the beautiful mountains with amazing roads. As with all of our CMU events, we like to drive, and that's what we'll be doing. We will have drives each of the three days with plenty of stops and things to see. Friday night will be the Hippie party with the swap meet and silent auction. The Campground and hotel fill up fast so go to the club website and get all of the information. As with all of our events, this is for everybody, but all of the drives/cruises/anything is only for classic Minis and its variants produced from 1959-2000, no exceptions. June 5-6 -Louisville, KY. - 31st Annual British Bash. Louisville, KY. – 31st Annual British Bash The British Bash is held on the shady grounds of the St. Joseph Children's Home. This is the 29th annual Bash, It is located at 2823 Frankfort Avenue Louisville. There is a children's play area with food and refreshments. Friday June 5th is a mixer for people to just mingle from 5pm till 9pm. Saturday June 6th starts with registration to begin at 9am and runs through 12pm. Judging will be from 12pm till 3pm.
