Tampa Bay British Car Club News and Events - Long List!
Tampa Bay British Car Club and Friends:
The Tampa Bay British Car Club’s Burger Quest at Crab Daddy’s, St Pete Beach was a great success with 38 people in attendance and the cars attracted a lot of attention from passersby. Good food, great company and a fun time was had by all.
For all you Mini Maniacs, Classic Mini and New Generation MINI, The Funshine Mini Fest is this weekend. It starts Friday February 19 with registration at the host Hotel Super 8 Motel at 22950 US 19 North, Clearwater from 3 to 5 PM. Then attending Safety Harbor’s 3rd Friday Festival. Saturday is the Rally starting at the Host Motel at 8 AM, and dinner at the Grind House at 6 PM.
Sunday is the Car Show from 9 AM to 2 PM, Location to be announced. Fiona and I are attending.
I just received this email. -Targa Sixty Six – February 20 this Saturday, Brian Redman has invited you to join him at his exclusive Targa 66 event! This Saturday - February 20th! There will, as always, be an abundance of very special cars being brought to Palm Beach International Raceway for exercise around the track.
For $20.00 per person (at the gate) and being registered with us for the day, you will be given access to the Wheels Across The Pond corral where you receive complimentary access for a parade lap to the new PBIR road course behind a pace car - 1 out lap, 1 full lap and 1 in lap.
For a further $35.00 per person (at the track) and being registered with us for the day, you will be given access to further laps behind a lead car at a more 'spirited' pace. You can make the determination at the track and pay the $35.00 when you get there.The gates open at 0900 and concessions are available at the track.
For those interested, we'll form a car caravan at 09:40am leaving the Jupiter Farms Publix (Indiantown Road and Jupiter Farms Road) departing at 10:00am for a short (but spirited) run to the track.

Once we receive your email, we'll email back your Car Club Corral Pass. You will need to display this on your vehicle. We will also have Corral Passes at the Publix parking lot in Jupiter Farms on Saturday Morning.
Tampa Bay British Car Club’s Next Meeting is February 25. At Ben’s Paradise Restaurant at 443 Main Street Safety Harbor. Meeting starts at 7 PM, Come early for dinner and conversations (about 6:00 PM). Drive your British Car. Hope to see you there.
The Dade City Run is fast approaching on February 27th. This is a great and very scenic drive on the back roads of Florida and there are even some “hills”. After the drive, we will be stopping for lunch at the “Local public House and Provisions” Restaurant, located at 32750 Pennsylvania Ave, San Antonio, FL 33576, (352) 668-4867. Large selection of Craft Beers. Local Public House and Provisions
The drive will begin at the McDonalds on the North East Corner of SR 54 and US 41 in Lutz. We will be leaving at 10 AM sharp so don’t be late. Hope you can join us.We need a head count, please RSVP to president@tampabaybritishcarclub.org and reference the Dade City Run. Or call me at 727-420-0467. Fiona and I are attending.
The Tampa Bay British Car Club is ordering some Very Nice 3-inch Chrome and Enamel Grill Badges. An example was shown at the last meeting and I (Phil) will have that example with me at future events. The Club will be ordering these badges and we should have them in 6 to 8 weeks. The Club is offering them to the membership at a special pre-delivery price of $15.00; the regular price will be $20.00. Any Club Officer can accept pre-delivery orders and payments. Payment must be received in advance to get the special pricing.
The Tampa Bay British Car Club’s Go Kart Challenge has been scheduled for Tuesday March 22 at 6:30 PM. Join us at the Tampa Bay Grand Prix Go Kart Track at 12350 Automobile Blvd, Clearwater FL 33762. Join us as a spectator or test your driving skills against other Club members, Who will be crowned the fasted in the Club. The TBBCC will provide Pizza and Soda. We need a head count, Please RSVP to president@tampabaybritishcarclub.org and put “Go Kart” in the tab line.
I have negotiated with The St Pete Festival Of Speed on April 3 and we have a Special Club Discount. The cost will be $20.00 per car. The regular price is $50.00. To register your car, go on line to Festivals of Speed | Car Registration - Festivals of Speed and add “club babe” after your name.
This is one of the biggest shows in our area with over 10,000 spectators, Last year our Club had 20 cars in attendance. Lets get a large number of British Cars out to this show and remind everyone that Classic Cars are not just Hot Rods, exotics and old Chevy’s. Give your car a polish and join us at this show.
Since many of the Tampa Bay British Car Club Members own “other” cars that were built in countries outside of England, we have decided to include these vehicles in the Clubs Rogues gallery. We also want photos of You and Your British Car. Any members that would like to have their British Car or “other” cars included in this Rogues Gallery, Please send a photo of YOU with Your Car. Include make, model, year and Your Name. Send photos to president@tampabaybritishcarclub.org
