Iowa

Anyone here in Iowa? I'm a new member in Des Moines. Haven't seen much for IA when searching but thought I'd ask.

Hi tdiddy, things are pretty quite here; but hopefully someone more local than I am will post.

I can't help you out in Des Moines, I don't know of any Jaguar clubs. but there is a British car club up there. My youngest daughter lives in Carlisle so we get up there frequently. Here the web site.

Des Moines hère also. Just now saw your post.
Don't really drive the Jag in this Iowa weather unless streets are fairly dry.
I do visit the car now and then and dream of driving in when its nice out.

Hello...im in Charles City...I work in Iowa Falls everyday so as the weather gets nicer (and if I know Im having a "clean" day at work) I will be tearing up the roads in the iowa falls area

Hi Iowans. Up here in lonely Northwest Iowa, near Lake Okoboji-3 miles from Minnesota and less than an hour from South Dakota. I live a few miles east of Hawkeye Point-the highest elevation of the state. Not much to look at, unfortunately. Just a silo with a flag by it.

There is another XJ6 SIII in Sibley where I work, and a XJ6 SIII owner in Little Rock. Other than that, Jags are quite rare around here.

Happy motoring, be safe.

Hey all I'm in Council Bluffs now but was raised in the same area as moronthethrottle. Grew up on a farm outside of Hospers, IA. Just picked up an 84 XJS because V12!!

:icon_toast: Hi! I know that area a little bit, I lived in Spirit Lake for a month when I was working in Jackson, MN a few years ago. I also lived in Fairmont, MN for a few months a couple years ago as well. And just last summer I was by Spencer Ia for a day doing a job there.

Art in Des Moines . Just bought a 1995 xjs and have a 2010 xf for sale.

moronthethrottle 07-16-2014 10:51 AM

Hi Art! Welcome to the party, hope you're satisfied with your upgrade to the beautiful XJS...not that the XF is hard on the eyes or anything!

Anyone on here participating, or partying on the RAGBRAI tour? Looks like it's starting up here in the northwest and snakes its way toward "bigd" (Mason City to Waverly on the 24th) and ends up in Guttenberg.

I've been thinking a GJRAI (Great Jag Ride Across Iowa) would be fun. Especially in the northeast...love that part of the state.

Quad Cities in the house. A few Jags around town, another in the parking lot where I work and at least 2 on used car lots.

I thought I'd dredge up this thread in case anyone is still around. I'm in Waterloo with an XJSC.

Quicktruck 11-12-2020 10:47 AM

Quad Cities here. There are a few around, but the nearest dealerships (and factory repairs) are in Peoria and Naperville.

Quicktruck 10-04-2021 11:35 AM

Also in the Quad Cities - 2017 XF and love it

Iowa City here, with an X350 XJ8 in the driveway. As for wrenching, I do my own (SDD on hand here, and have a buddy who's an ex Jag dealer tech here in IC ). Otherwise, my one experience dealing with Willis in Des Moines was very disappointing.
