Default Winter tires and rims on an F-Type AWD

I am about to have aftermarket rims made for winter tires for my '16 F-Type R.

I'm thinking I'll make the rear wheels the same width as the fronts, narrower than the OEM staggered wider rears, so that they perform better as winter tires and so that I can rotate front-to-rear and vice-versa.

Anyone else done that?

Thanks.

I have not. I garage mine for the winter but it will be interesting to see how the F-Type handles our winters.

Sean, you're in The Minneapple!

Where?

I'm in Plymouth, near Wayzata.

I have since gone through a long learning curve on the winter tires on dedicated rims. I'm still not quite rolling on them. I've written up what I've learned. I'll post it after I'm finally rolling on them.

Are you connected to other Shaguar owners around here?

Chatted with White Bear a couple times. Guess where he lives?
I also received an invite from someone to meet awhile ago. I think he had an X100. I accidentally deleted the PM while cleaning out my inbox and don't know who it was. I wish he'd reach out again.

I'm in Prior Lake. I'm almost never out on this regional board. I live in the X150 forum. If you write me here, please send a PM so I know to check.

Yeah, I'm finding more conversation in the X152 forum than in the regional.

And have you looked into the Jaguar Club of Minnesota? Their facebook page is unused for years, and their website seems to be very little used as well.

I'll look for White Bear.

Thanks.

I've been using dedicated winter tires on our cars for about 20 years now. It's much safer and much easier to manage in winter with them.

Once they get about 1/2 worn, throw them away.
