Had my 04 STR since new and is the best car I've ever owned with few
problems and the ones I did have this excellent forum made the difference.

Just bought an s-type 2000. Owned a 67 1/2 E type from 75-78. Should never have sold it. Parts were not easy to get back then in Central Michigan. Had to send to England for half the parts. At the time I didn't realize how rare that particular model was.

Have had my 2015 XF Portfolio for about a week. Was a "demo" which means the dealer took the MSRP hit to where I could *afford* it.

The car has navigation, which I'll never use since my smartphone WAZE is so much better and points out cops, accidents, traffic. Still trying to find a good location to mount the phone as the windshield mount it ugly.

As an engineer, I'd love to figure out how to project my Android phone onto the Nav screen. Honda is already doing that with Android Auto. I built an "anti" texting and driving application years ago (see TextBot for Android) which would read texts out loud and let you reply without typing. That too is now found on a lot of cars.

Enjoy driving guys! It won't be long until all the cars are self driving.

We have a 1996 XJ12 LWB (100K Miles) driven year round but only on "nice" days, and a 2003 XJR (44K Miles) always stored during our NH winters. Our first Jaguar was a 2001 XJR (license = BAD-KTTY) which we sold at 134K Miles. Always enjoy driving either the V12 or the XJR.

Surprised I never rolled into this part of the forum before, but I live in Mont Vernon, NH with my '98 XJR. Saw a nice 00-02 XJR up in Tilton, NH today, nice new black wheels (new since last year not that i'm a stalker ) Be cool to get some of us Jag folk together in Milton at the Country stores cruise nights, the Nashua Cruise night at Target Fridays, or even over at NE Dragway some Weds night to burn some tires off. I'm sorta new to the area so fill me in where all you guys are hiding!

Mattsmusic, you should check out the run the F-Type boys have put together for the begining of May. It's being called the "Lobster Run" to Portland Maine. The boys putting it together are doing a bang up job. One of the meet up points will be at F40 Motor Sports in Portland Ct and a chat with Wayne.

My brother and I just drove my F Type V8S from Florida to Boston and we had frequent conversations about "why don't they just integrate our smartphone apps into the main nav screen"? Apps like Pandora, Waze, Google Maps, Spotify, etc... The technology is certainly there and it would prevent having to use multiple devices, when the built in nav screen could run everything. Ford does it, come on Jaguar!
