So.... My first personal 'Welcome to Spring thing' is my 'Drive to Chinook pass day! Care to join me?
Chinook Pass is normally open as of Memorial Day weekend (May 25th-26th). As of this post, it is not yet open.... Secondly because it is a mountain pass, weather does come into play. I tend to avoid overcast, and most certainly wet days for scenic reasons . The view of Rainier on a sunny day is worth the wait.... so 25th-26th weekend is a tentative, and failing that, the following weekend will be my target. Johnston Ridge on Mt St Helens is now open as well. Sweet roads and stunning views on clear days!

Don’t forget Jaguars on the Island July 26-28 in Victoria! It’s the largest Jaguar car show in North America. The car show itself is on Saturday, July 27th.
I’ll be heading up on the 26th. Danny |
Added! Thanks!

Well, Chinook is indeed open!
I'm headed for some clean mountain air this Monday (Saturday is rain, Sunday is overcast, and Monday is clear.... eh.... so far...)! Snowy peaks, and deep green forests await, and fellow Jags owners are welcome to let their cats stretch their spring time legs! For myself, this is purley a scenic event, with no shenanigans. Just a car, camera, and smile... If interested, post up here or PM me. We can meet at the Enumclaw Safeway around 9am, for a 10am departure. This gets us back off the mountain in plenty of time to grab a late lunch, or just head for home! Vince |
Oooh, I live near St. Ed's. I'll likely be at the Jul 20 show.
