"E" Vent results

Hello, Norri! The show went really well! I was there the whole time. We had 21 entrants; all with XKE models, of course. Not bad considering there was a Jaguar concours in Tucson the same day. Have to do our homework next year to avoid a conflict! There were a handful of nice XK8 cars that parked in the lot as well. Peoples Choice ballots were sold at $1 each, with proceeds benefitting Hope Village Charities. We gave away a Norman Dewis book as the prize, and that man in turn auctioned it off to raise more money. We were able to donate $500 to the charity, thanks to some very unselfish folks! The resort provided the coffee and water tables for us, and there were other refreshments as well. Detail guru Steve Lawrence was on hand offering tips on the cleaning and caring of paintwork and interior finishes. Russo and Steele sent a representative to offer advice on buying, selling, collecting, and market perspectives. The local dealer sent a very cool saleperson (I can't believe there really is one of those!) with a new triple black supercharged F Type. He was eagerly demonstrating features all morning! All in all, a nice, casual, stress-free way to spend a morning! We'll do it again next year!
