Cut new key and program fob

Can anyone recommend a locksmith, shop or dealer south of Houston (Pearland) area. I have one key fob and one without the remote functions. Millenium didn't seemed interested in doing it (said I would have to leave the car for a week).
Rather not go into Houston unless I have too. This is for a 2003 S-Type 4.2.

Hey there. Just wondering if you resolved your issue and if you found a locksmith to help you. I'm kinda in the same boat. The keys to my 04 X-Type were stolen and I need to have new keys made. All Jag dealers in Houston are quoting approx $550 for each key and they tell me I need to have two, plus about $180 to have them programmed. Hope you had better luck than me.

Cut new key and program fob

Wellt's, I'm half-way there. I found a new key blank and used programmable fob on ebay for $75.00. Unfortunately, Millenium Jaguar in Houston is the only game in town and quoted me $250 to cut my new key and program the new fob. It's a ways from where I live so haven't made it there yet. I called every locksmith I could find but all led me back to Millenium. So, soon as I get the money I'll take it to them.
If you need a good Jag mechanic, I use Tom at Toups Auto Repair in Pearland, Tx. They are knowledegable, fairly priced (not cheap) and will take the time to talk Jags with you. In any case, best wishes and good luck.

I am in a similar position trying to get a key cut but in Ohio. I haven't found my solution yet but have uncovered a company that sells keys & fobs and provide a local affiliate that can cut the keys and program. Perhaps you should investigate this before spending the big bucks. Company is keylessride (dot) com. I have no affiliation with them and found them when seraching for jaguar key cutting locations. They have many customer reviews including sevaral jaguar owners. Hope this may help

FWIW. I work at an independent Import shop in Albuquerque. What you are being quote for keys is not out of line. We Primarily did Volvo's and Key cut to the vehicle, new remote, and s/w for both plus 1/2 labor for programming in usually in the $400-500 for just 1 key. You save on the S/W and labor doing a pair but its still expensive.

I have found places online that will help you decode the key you have and get a replacement cut but they still need to be programmed. Just google a Tibbe key.
