Jaguar Plano closing, moving to Grapevine

I know a lot of North Texas Jag owners are on here and wanted to give you guys a heads up. Park Place Jaguar is shutting down and relocating to Grapevine. They are building a new dealership near the existing Lexus and Mercedes dealerships, west of DFW airport off 114. It will be a Jaguar/land Rover dealership. It is scheduled to begin construction immediately and open in Spring 2017.

This is crappy news for some of us, but probably better for others. However, since there is already a Jag dealer in Fort Worth, this really impacts the North Dallas owners more I think. The only other dealer is near downtown Dallas, so for those of us in the far north Dallas suburbs, like Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, etc it means we will either have a 20 mile drive or have to look to third party service centers for routine maintenance.

Wow, I just bought a F Type from them yesterday and didn't know this. That's not good news.

I talked to someone at the Land Rover dealership in Frisco and they will be breaking ground next year to add Jaguar to their dealership. So hopefully by Summer 2017 or so we will have a Jaguar dealer in Frisco to support the north Dallas suburbs.

I miss Grapevine. But that's about it... :)
