Phoenix People: Recs for Techs?

We're still working on gremlins in this dang car and think we've pinned it down (sorry) to a pin-to-pin issue. Which leads me to my question of: have any of you had good luck with a tech in the Phoenix area? One with knowledge of Jaguar and electrical workings? And, of course, one who won't attempt to empty my already sad bank account? *grin*

thanks! :)

British Automotive North Scottsdale has been good for me and my STR.

Ditto. They're in the Airpark near Costco.

I just took my 2006 Super V8 up there yesterday.

Agreed!

British Automotive does have a very good staff, but they can be a bit absent-minded. My first trip there was for an oil change and to have the "Service Required" message reset. They did the oil change, but forgot to reset the message. Required another trip to have that done, and driving up the 101 usually results in a chipped windshield. Second visit was for another oil change. That time, they did remember to reset the service message . . . but forgot to replace the engine cover. At least when I brought that to their attention, they had someone bring it to my house in Gilbert and snap it back on.

They do have one of the coolest waiting rooms, however.

Has anyone been to Eurosport phoenix?

High revving motorcycles have the same problem, some people opt for fixed tensioners to solve it,
but its really not necessary unless the tensioner fails.

Keeping your oil topped up and changed often should avoid tensioner issues in most engines.

Since this thread came up again by mistake, I thought I'd make a couple of recommendations:

Sports and Collector Car Center, western Tempe
Dave's Import Service, central Phoenix

Both have good reputations.

I've been to British Automotive. They have a good reputation too. But I don't recommend them. Enough said.
