Restoring an XK150

I an interested in restoring an XK150. I do not have experience in major restoration. I live in Napa, CA. Can anyone advise me?
Thanks.

Ian the XK150 was the most complicated model Jaguar made to that time. You do not say which XK150 you are interested in. Of the body styles the DHC is the most difficult to get right (the top requires a master due to the padding) and any of the 'S' versions are the greatest mechanical challenge. So you have 3 body styles--4 engine versions -3.4, 3.4S, 3.8 and 3.8S. You also have 3 transmission choices manual, manual w/ OD and automatic. So advice part---determine what you want--buy the best car you can--purchase the parts and shop manuals and join a club that has XK owners.
