SO I got it apart to replace the lamp, and it ends up I am missing a piece.
Question is about the piece, the piece is the part the lamp plugs into anf the factory wiring harness connects to, I guess a socket describes it.

Is it a universal piece or do I need exact replacement?
Or should I do a conversion since I will be in it cash anyways?

PS.. I broke the lil plastic tabs that hold in them caps in the bumper cover, under the headlights. Any help with them? Easy fix?

 

innzane, I would tell you to take a little bit of electrical tape and cover the joint where the plug and the socket join. That will keep the two together. Otherwise, you are going to end up having to buy a complete harness to get that connector. It is a unique plug for that fog light.

On a side note, what part of MD are you in? I am in SOMD, down in California MD. If you need some help, let me know. I am always willing to work on vehicles.

 

Hey, thanks for the reply. I figured as much. I live in the city of Frederick MD, good ways from Cali. But I have been there plenty working down in Pax River.
My mistake....not pulling out the other side plug to have handy before I put it all back together. Looks like I may be in for a frankenstien fix on this one.

 

innzane, I just purchased a whole fog light housing off of ebay as my lens was broken. I'd be willing to send you my old housing to cannibalize. Everything is there but the lens. If you are interested, PM me your info.

 

innzane, keep an eye out in the MidAtlantic section as I am wanting to get a get together planned for say early May for all of us to get together and kick the summer off.
