2003 Jag X-Type — keyway into ignition switch
So we’ve been working on getting the ignition cylinder out of an ‘03 Jag X type... for some reason, even in the on position, the cylinder is not releasing from the house, am I not hitting the button right or something?
BIGGEST problem is when we took the ignition switch off, opposite the ignition cylinder, we started messing with the pressed aluminum keyway that turns the ignition switch over, AND BROKE THE TIP OFF... big bloody oops there. I called Jag and tried to explain, but they said the housing and the switch are all they sell... seems like this pressed aluminum piece SHOULD be removable. Any advice?
