Unhappy 2005 X-Type 3L. DSC System Failure.

I have a DSC System Fault with yellow light on. The failure came and went for one time, and then never went away. I read for codes. Had P1111 code. I erased codes went to P1000 as expected. Innova 3000 reader. I assume if I get the P1xxxx codes I would be able to see others if they had existed. I have no other symptoms. My battery is new. The car starts fine. The car drives fine. Not sure what to check. Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts?

Good chance it is a wheel speed sensor. That would come up as a CXXXX code telling which wheel sensor is bad. Maybe your reader can't read C codes.

Thanks. I wish I knew if I was seeing all the codes. We only have 83000 mi on the car. My wife loves it. I just drove it to Denver and back last month and the car runs like the day we bought it. The car has never needed anything but a new fuel pump recently, and brakes. The dealer could not read any codes on the pump either. The parts are cheaper than car payments and I don't mind doing the work. If I just knew where the error was. Maybe I should do a visual on the sensors at the wheels.

I tried looking at specs for the 3000, not readily available. But looking at their site, the newer (3"00 is older model, not even on their site), the list higher models like 3100j ("Will the 3100j have the ability to read and clear ABS/SRS codes?

The 3100j will retrieve ABS/SRS codes, on most 1996 and newer vehicles Domestic and Asian vehicles").
And 3130f ("Read and erase ABS trouble codes on most OBD2 Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles").

Thanks. I saw that when I was searching around the Inet. A new yaw sensor was $400+. I saw people using used sensors on YouTube, but that just means the problem will return eventually.

Dennis it took awhile, but I finally got one on EBAY for $35. The part came today. As you know it takes 10 min to replace. I replaced it and the DSC fault message is gone. Thanks.

Thanks to all of you.
