ABS codes
 

My 2004 Jaguar X-Type, correction Fiancé s Jag, ABS light is on ABS being applied sporadically when no wheel slippage evident, my Carista diagnostic chip and app shows all 4 wheel sensors coded and p1000, I am leaning toward the ABS module. Saw a forum discussion on here with same codes with suspected front harness but it seems that would only effect front sensors. Before I buy a module or pump combo I wanted some input from my X Type brothers and sisters, comments welcome and I eagerly await superior knownedge

When asking questions about codes, post the actual codes rather than descriptions. P1000 is a status and not an error. it indicates all OnBoard Monintoring tests have not been completed since the last memory clear. You will always see either P1000 or subsequently P1111 when all the tests are complete.

John, if you are getting all 4 wheel speed sensors to fail, I would take it that your speedo also drops to 0 mph/kph. If you are seeing this, then yes, your ABS module is more than likely at fault. If you are keeping your speedo indication, then you have another issue that is more relevant to the individual speed sensors. Keep in mind that when you loose 2 (or more) of the speed sensors, the car will default the speedo to zero to clue the driver into the fact that there is a major issue going on. if you are getting al four of the wheel sensors, but not seeing the speedo drop, this tells me that you are only seeing a single speed sensor drop at a time.
