The adjustment screws don't do anything. No headlamp movement at all. I fear that something is broken. Looks like I need to remove the whole front bumper to fix this issue. :icon_denk:

I had the same problem.Dealer replaced it under warranty.
Do a search. Many forum members have had this problem. There is a fix. |
how high should the light beam be of the ground? I've been asking around and so far all i've gotten back is mark on the wall where the light falls and then drive back 25 feet and the light should only fall about 2-2.5 inches. Well right now my lights are like 2-3 feet from the ground so that's way to low of a starting point so I don't know how high I should start my lights of at so I don't blind oncoming traffic.

The best way is to measure the height (ground to center of low beam lamp), mark it on a wall or garage door and adjust it as recommended.(drive way must be level)
I had to replace the headlamps on my wife's X-Type due to broken adjusters. |
Great, thanks!!

reyesl - How did you remove the headlight assembly? Looks like a lot of items need to be removed to get to the assembly. Hope that I'm just missing the quick fix.

That instruction is for X Types that are equipped with self leveling lights. The interior light switch is different as well =
