Advice on Cleaning X-Type Wheels

I have a 2004 X-Type 3.0 with what I believe are "Cayman" wheels. I've attached a photo of them. I'm fairly certain that they are painted alloy, but I'm far from an expert on these matters. Figuring out what the wheels are, are made of, and what kind of finish has been applied is obviously the first order of business.

I'm sure some of you have had wheels such as these, and I'm sure someone knows the details about them. If so, how did you clean them? What products do you prefer? Any help and advice is much appreciated.

Simply Green, yes Camens, aluminum. I also have a thread on repairing curb rash, sanding, filler, priming, painting and top coating if needed.

Mine where pretty scratched up, and I found professionally refinished replacements relatively cheap on eBay, bought one at a time over a couple of months- just make sure the ones you buy are originals that have been refinished and not AM reproductions.

If yours are in good shape and not scratched up you can try some polish and wax cleaner and see if that helps.
