Audi Aluminium Pedal Covers - courtesy of the Midnight Mod Ninja

It's interior month at the House of Chapman. My Audi RS4/6 style pedal covers arrived this afternoon. I LOVE the dead pedal - it's big enough to be a lunch tray. I spaced the pedals evenly. Everything is screwed in and super secure. Pics just don't do them justice - I'm happy.

This completes the carbon fiber and R shift knob for the interior transformation.

Love it! Reminds me of the Isotta setup I had on my 2002....

I am at the Jag dealer installing the XK pedals right now! The Audi ones looks great. I was considering the dead pedal, looking at your install it's a no brainer to get it :)

exexpat Dec 18, 2010 11:14 AM

$58 shipped, too. :)

aluni2230 Dec 18, 2010 01:13 PM

Where did you get them? By the way these look much nicer than the jag ones. I had the dealer pull them out. Yeah, that's the bad part of seeing your stuff :)

I'll put them on my wife's XF. The parts are non returnable.

Rockyf Dec 18, 2010 05:45 PM

can you send us the link to where you got it.

Are the pedals covers, or replacement pedals. How hard is itto install? Cost, etc? Thanks they look great.

I've been thinking about doing something like this with my X-Type. These look great but I like the XK pedals better except for the dead pedal. I really like that Audi dead pedal. Please post where you got these. Thanks,

Mark

I found this Arden 04 Jaguar XJ350 Type Foot Rest (Dead Pedal)

on eBay. Can anyone tell me if it will fit a 2002 X-Type or tell me how to find out. Thanks,

Mark

you will be able to make the Arden pedal work.

Ooo.. I was thinking of ordering the XF pedal covers but I like these a lot more. Sorry Jeremy, I'm not usually one to bite other people's style but in this case I think I will be.

Don't worry about it. I'll just fly down and talk smack about you when I am presenting event sessions in Vegas this Spring. :D

The jag pedal covers look pretty nice, but they don't have a dead pedal. The Audi pedals here look great because of the dead pedal. JMHO. The set I got for My x will make it to my wides XF, while I hunt these down :)

ufoz8mycow Dec 19, 2010 09:34 PM

^that's what sold me on these.. The XF set is nice but good luck finding a nice dead pedal to match.

Let me know when you get down here Jeremy.. Luckily our cars arent toooo similar, even though our tastes in mods are.

Did you just pop off the rubber and drill through the pedal? Any shimming or are they flat underneath? I have ogre size feet and the dead foot pedal has me thinking.

exexpat Dec 20, 2010 11:48 AM

I screwed into the rubber and metal on the brake, directly into the gas pedal and the carpet. Used 3/4" self-tapping counter sunk black screws. The holes in the carpet can be made invisible with a brush and are not very visible on the rubber. The gas pedal would need some filler a quick shot of flat black vinyl paint if I ever pulled the pedal cover.

Edit: BTW, I have ogre feet, too (12) and the key is not to center the brake pedal. I have the brake pedal cover aligned left (right side is at the edge of the rubber. That means there is about 3/4" hang over on the left, but you can't see it. I used black electrical tape to obfuscate the holes so you can't see through the left side either.

Nice, I think I'll do the same, I like the look but more to the point I've got size 13 and the stock dead foot pedal fits less than half my foot. I like your idea of offsetting the brake pedal cover, make perfect sense since I find them too close together, likely to accomodate a clutch for the manual tranny model. BTW does your PC setup have bluetooth?

I have Bluetooth. The dead pedal slightly hangs over the factory dead pedal area, so you get more surface area. It's a good mod for $58, 30 minutes and 10 screws.
