Auto-levelling headlights "pointing up" after pothole incident
So, my wife drove into what must have been the worlds largest pot hole the other day and blew a tire. Didn't dent the rim or anything, but I did notice that afterwards my headlights were pointing upwards, not straight forward. When driving on the highway at night they illuminate the overhead signs from a distance, whereas before they would cut off on the ground a good distance ahead. They still do the auto-levelling calibration movement when the car starts, but their post-calibration "middle" seems to be pointing up rather than level...
Is this likely something that can be adjusted with a screw or is it the sensor itself that might be off balance? (I had the same issue happen before after an accident in another car that had auto leveling, where they just pointed to the ground after - it was the sensor itself which was near the wheel well). Where is the sensor located for that?

There are sensors on the lower control arms and the link rod probably broke or became disconnected. The sensors control the headlamp vertical aiming when changes in vehicle loading is detected (ie. lots of weight in the boot to cause the headlamps to point 'up' too much).
The headlamps themselves could also be broken internally (common fault).
