I have a jaguar x-type 2.5
When I hit the break the break pedal vibrates and makes a knocking noise somewhere under the car.
I got all my break pads and front rotors replaced and it is still doing the same thing.
the Abs light on the dashboard isn't on. Did anybody have this problem?

All I can think of is check all the break lines are secured especially the lines that go to the back wheels.

 

charmaine, you mention replacing the front rotors, did you replace the rear rotors? Based on what you are describing, you have a warped rear rotor and that is causing the brake fluid to pulse backwards through the system and you are feeling it in the brake pedal. I would check the rear rotors before I went much further.
