Clutch Pedal not returning

Just put new engine in (myself) 2.1 petrol manual x type now my clutch does not seem to be working, checked brake fluid level thats ok, can the clutch be primed or bled somewhere? or have I not connected something. Any help would be realy appreciated.

Congrats on the engine install!!!

When you replace a clutch, there are a couple of things to consider:

the pin that goes into the clutch assembly needs to be inserted into the housing (about 2 inches wide and a few inches longer) just right, or it'll miss the magic spot.

the clutch can be bled. It's at the housing area that I was just mentioning which attaches to the transmission.

Thanks motormouth, i didnt replace the clutch just disconnected the fluid pipe from the housing will look tomorrow in the daylight to see if i can bleed it. thanks again.

Yea. If that's all you did then you certainly have air in your lines. Make sure as you bleed them that you put more fluid in. Good luck with it!
