Default Cold start problem cruise not available reliable repair Las Vegas?

Hi
I have a Jaguar X Type 2.5 litre. The car starts very rough when cold and the brake is stiff. The cruise not available light also comes on. Once the car reaches normal operating temperature it runs perfectly. I have scoured the forum for other posts with this problem and also took it into a local repair shop in Las Vegas, twice to no avail.

They replaced the O rings and gaskets, put new plugs in and replaced a faulty coil. They also did a smoke check for a vacuum leak (I know this is a common cause for this problem) but there did not appear to be a major leak. They also cleaned the mass oxygen sensor.

Because the brake is stiff I am wondering if the brake booster hose is faulty. I am also contemplating replacing the battery as it's at least 3 years old and cheap, as well a replacing the rest of the coils. What do you guys think?

So far the repairs have ran $750 so I am not keen to just replace parts that will not fix the problem.

Can anyone recommend a good Jaguar repair shop in Las Vegas as my experience with the one I went to was not good.
Thanks Chris

Default rough start

Have you checked the plastic line to the brake booster they dry out and crack, big problem. The line that goes to the EGR valve on the fire wall also. The big one is the large hose that goes from the throttle body to the front of the engine( about a inch in diameter)( sits just above /behind the air inlet box, if it's NOT ribbed it's probably cracked on the bottom underneath(OEM). The booster line is about $60.00 the other one is $15.00/$18.00. There is a trick to the booster line on the plentum side to get it off, Push down on the center ring and pull up on the line simultaneously, if you break it there is a replacement part for it but if your careful it will come out.If not the kit comes with a brass piece that you don't use or you have to drill out the old one, I threw it away.About $10.00 for the kit

I just repaired a 2003 3.0 with a hard start and low brake assist (hard pedal) when cold.
The owner said it was hard, if not impossible to start when the outside temps dropped.

I started the car and pulled it into the shop and noticed the engine ran rough and the brake pedal was HARD.

I could hear the engine 'HISSING' at idle (massive vacuum leak).
All the intake manifold seals (upper and lower) needed replacement.

I had all the seals in stock and a few hours later the engine started and ran SMOOTH.

I also replaced the spark plugs while the intake was off because it only takes a few minutes extra.
