Default Parking Sensors.....

Ive got 2 xtypes, a green 2002 with parking sensors and a silver 2003 without parking sensors.

Since we mostly drive the silver 2003, i was thinking of adding the parking sensors from our 2002, but im wondering if this is straight forward just unbolt from old car and rebolt to new car or if theres more to this.

any help is greatly appreciated

thanks!

i just want to thank everyone for the great advice on my topic
(cough, sarcasm, did you hear it)

its not straight forward but a google search lead me to a wiring digram that helped me out, now my silver 03 has parking sensors and work, and my green 02 has none and runs fine and only took about an hour

thanks all!!

Sorry you didn't get help, but would you mind posting that diagram? I'm sure someone could use it down the road.

Wow. You waited three whole hours for a response. Glad you finally figured out the whole Google thing!

HAHA

Well the vehicles that have it equipped should have a harness leading to the rear bumper designate for them. The vehicle that done should not, although they should have the plug somewhere in the vehicle

Exclamation

Yea yea im impatient. I was bored. What can i say. No harm done

the car with sensors had a harness that utilized the same harness that the car that did not have sensors also had in the same spot. Its 4am so i dunno if that made sense and im typing this from my phone.

If someobe could use it i can grab some pics and the diagrams and do a step by step it wasnt to difficult took about an hour

judging by the amount of people i seen here who dosent like their sensors i doubt anyone will use it. But ill do it if u ask ;-)

I was multitasking while watching Colts vs Texans

I like my parking sensors and use them to back up against the building at work, but I have to be careful to first make sure my 'Gearbox Fault' light isn't on. If that is on then the sensors are deactivated and I get no beeping, and it only took bumping the wall once to learn that lesson!
