I have the replacement motor track to make my non-power passenger seat a powered one...however, I am only finding side trim pieces that have the cut-out for the lumbar switch. Did all of the X-Types with both front seats having motorized tracks come with lumbar or do I just need to search harder?

Hi. For a last ditch effort to check on this option, I would recommend that you go to a site like ebay motors and conduct a search on X-Types. Pay close attention to the pictures of the passenger seat. Good luck! Bill in Ohio

 

I assume your talking about your 2003 X-Type?

 

Here is the X-Type Front Seat description from JTIS:



This indicates that a vehicle with 10-Way adjustable seats (high option) fitted include lumbar support.

Your description of the passenger seat suggests your vehicle has basic option seats which do not include lumbar support.

I know that what *I* have installed is the basic without lumbar. I am going to fit a power track to the passenger seat which means getting the new side trim piece. BUT...the only ones I have seen were from passenger seats that had the lumbar (not that there has been a large selection to choose from in ANY color). Hence the question...

I could figure something out to fill the hole if I needed to, but it helps if I can determine that there might be a passenger side trim piece out there somewhere that just had the cut-outs for the power switch sans lumbar cut-out (ie. two holes instead of three).
