Differential question

Anyone know if the final drive assembly from a 2.5 is compatible with a 3.0 ?
I read the 506e was used in both but the programming was different..I have rebuilt mine but the final drive is toast and there is a used one on eBay ..

They're totally interchangeable - no differences.
