Display message "Autonomia" + countdown in KM
Hello everyone,
I am fairly new to Jaguars, bought mine in Spain in May this year and it has been having all sorts of issues time to time but this time it looks worrying - this morning I noticed a message on the display saying "Autonomia" and below - countdown in kilometers. The oil was changed in June, the transmission gear box oil was changed a month ago, the cooling liquid was topped up a month ago and there are no other indicators displayed so it is a mystery. Any ideas? thank you :) P.S. The car is 15 years old, X-type wagon, 2.5 |
I think it's "range" = British English i.e. American English "distance to empty" of fuel tank. As for "just appearing" you probably inadvertently depressed the stalk (blinker) button and that cycles through various display info = range, total miles on car, trip set miles, etc.
Display language To change the display language, switch the ignition ON while pressing the ‘ML/km’ switch. The trip computer will display the current language. Press the ‘ML/km’ switch repeatedly to cycle through the available languages. Once the correct language is selected, press the ‘A/B’ switch. The new language will be selected after a delay of three seconds. Note: If you wish to exit the language selection function without changing the display language, you can either press the ‘RESET’ switch, wait for 10 seconds or switch the ignition OFF. |
