exterior issue
I was washing my jag x type 2002 when a part came off the front of the car. Its like a cap under the headlights. I can;t figure out its purpose nor how to put the part back on. There is a little plastic piece inside that hole that swivels back and forth. I can connect it on end but not on both. Any suggestions?

Fotoman, the problem that you are having is the headlight washer assembly lost its cap. Unfortunately, the fix for that is getting a new washer assembly. So, you will end up going to the Jag dealership there on VA Beach BLVD (used to live in Norfolk) to get the part unless you can find it online (probably cheaper). Yo ucan check out Nalley Jag (advertiser here) and they can hook you up or talk to ken@britishparts.com (send him an e-mail). Both should be able to help you out.
If you have any more questions, just ask.

do your washer sprayers work?
they dont work on my girls so when the clip broke i cut a coathanger, grabbed the sprayer with some vice grips and pulled it out carefully, then bent the coathanger and rea attached the cover and then took the vice grips off and it went back in to its normal place.
you dont need to be rough with pulling the sprayers out just used vice grips to hold it out, they were on just snug.
sure beats a new headlight assembly.
