front right abs wheel speed sensor

Does anyone know what the difference is between the front and rear abs sensor harnesses? Is it just length? I cannot for the life of me find a front right harness, and was wondering if they are interchangeable.

It's an 02 X-type 3L by the way.

I dont believe they are interchangeable. Are you getting a code for the RF wheel?

looking at the rear harness on ebay it looks like it's just the length

The front ABS harness can be fitted to either right or left side. There are differences in the harness based on VIN.

C2S26194 for early cars and C2S29893 for later years.

Yes, I scanned the code for the RF wheel.

That's what I thought, thanks for verifying.

Thanks, with the part number I was able to find it from several sources, although all cost way more than I think a cable is worth... comes with the territory, as usual.

Have you tried swapping sensors and or lead to see if the fault changes to other side, have had a few where the module is faulty with a wheel speed sensor code.

Yeah I should probably do that first. Do you know offhand where all of the sensors plug into under the hood?

The plug is in the wheel arch, behind the liner. Just follow the lead off the sensor.
